This isn't the normal location we typically go to, but we went through the Drive Thru and our cashier, said on the receipt, was Adriana. I've been in the food industry for almost 3 years, and I know how hard and difficult customer service can be and how hard it is to be nice to every customer. I'm not sure if it's the location and type of customers they receive and thus the employees have to be edgy but it gave us an uncomfortable experience. So, when my mother went to order food, the cashier couldn't hear us, and she asked us to repeat our order, then to have us wait, then she came back in a less stressful tone asking what we wanted. My mom was a bit frustrated but said her order louder so the cashier could hear. The cashier acknowledges our order then, in response to further the order, the cashier asked us what we wanted our drink to be in a same loud tone, but in an assertive way, making it seem like my mother was being problematic. We laughed a bit uncomfortably and we went to pay, typically we get our drink first then pay, but the cashier was extremely urgent they wanted the money first before the drink. Which made my mother feel more irritable and asked for the cashier to just give the drink as the cashier repeatedly said It's 10.01 consistently. I'm not sure in what way, in customer service world, that it's okay to continually try to up the customer and try to be the bigger man here, because it's just food. It's not that big of a deal, that's why I'm not rating it lower, and the food was fine and Adriana did wish us a good day which I felt was professional at the end for...
Read moreConsidering that I worked for EPL for many years I was surprised of the horrible service that I received in the drive thru. I placed my order and kept being asked to give them a second, once I pulled up to the window it seemed like they were having a party( more than 4 people were laughing and talking by the assembly line) I waited about 2-3 minutes for them to open the window and Repeat my order and it was wrong, I clarified it.. They took my card, charged me and handed me my receipt. I waited 3-4 again before they handed me a portion of my order and he closed the window. I ordered 2-4pc meals, Tostada salad, BRC (no cheese and grilled). Waited another 6-7 minutes and the guy finally opened up the window and handed me the remaining part of my order, asked Him for salsa(pico, avocado and 2 serranos) and he gave me a little bag with 2-2oz cups of house and 2-2oz of avocado, I asked him for more and he rolled his eyes, closed the window and came back and I still got no serranos. I was upset and tired of waiting so I just decided to leave. Once I got home my BRC had cheese and it was not grilled, my sides were wrong after I had clarified it and it was wrong on the receipt too. They need to work on their customer service and let the customer know what’s going on if they’re backed up. I’m very disappointed and definitely will not be going back to them, I’ll rather go to the one...
Read moreWas here before the main lunch rush around the 11 am hour, so it wasn't entirely super busy, but had some ppl in the restaurant, same with drive-thru. The girl at the front either wasn't trained well or couldn't handle a constant of customers, also was pretty indifferent. Took awhile when it came my turn. My order was pretty simple - 2 pc meal, leg & thigh, loco salad & corn, w/drink. It took some time for my order, in addition to the girl getting the orders of the 4 guys ahead of me mixed up (and me getting my order before 2 guys who were 2 ahead of me). My chicken was a bit dry, smaller & dull looking as if it was sitting out for a bit. The drumstick was small, more like the size of a chicken wing from Buffalo's, rather than it being almost the length of a 1 dollar bill. Their salsa bar needed refilling. The shift mgr was a bit frustrated with the girl from what I've observed from the orders not going out & the backup of customers, but I think she could've tried to have another person help in the front for a little bit. I like going to El Pollo, this location is a BIG contrast to say the one near me on Slauson Ave in Pico Rivera. I will still goto El Pollo, just not this...
