Came in on a Sunday afternoon for dinner. 1 person in our party had been there before and had suggested it. We were sat down and it took about 10-15 minutes before anyone came (other than someone to drop off chips and salsa) to take even a drink order. When they did come, we were ready to order but the gentlemen looked frustrated and overwhelmed (he appeared to be waiting the whole section) and asked us if he could come back. 10 minutes later, chips were gone and still had not ordered or received drinks. Food was pretty good, not the best but not the worst. 1/5 stars is for what happened next. I left my iphone at the restaurant and drove home (about 2 mins down the road). Right away, I noticed I was missing it and used Apple's "find my iphone" and it pinpointed that it was at the restaurant still. We drove right back (less than 10 minutes after leaving) and came in to say what had happened. They talked in Spanish for a few minutes, laughed and the girl at the front said they didn't find a phone. Frustrated, I explained that it showed exactly where my phone was and again, she said sorry. I then let her know that I wasn't leaving and I was calling the police and right away, she got flustered and asked me to wait. Someone came out of the kitchen and walked over to where we were sitting and I watched, with my own eyes, them drop my phone behind the seat and then say "I found it".... They are crooks here! My family and I WILL...
Read moreFirst time to eat at Casa Fiesta Fultondale. We were on our way home to Springville from north AL and I googled Mexican restaurants and chose this one based on the reviews. It looked clean and fun and we were excited to try a new place. I asked our server Joana if the Casa Fiesta dip was good and she replied that she didn’t like it because she didn’t like ground beef. I said we would try it anyway since we did like ground beef. We placed our order. We saved our chips in anticipation of enjoying the dip, but it never came. When she brought our food, I reminded her we had ordered the dip but never received it so we didn’t want it now. She said OK! Never apologized. Just OK. I then noticed my food order was wrong and called it to her attention. She said, “oh, that’s right” and took my plate away. Again, NO apology. Nothing. She brought the correct dish and set it down and that was the last we saw if her until she brought the bill. We were so disappointed because we were really ready to enjoy a new place and to have an enjoyable evening. Our food was good. We will never know about the dip. Extremely disappointed. If she had just given any indication that she acknowledged the mistakes made, we would have felt differently. Our first...
Read moreLet's start with the beginning. We requested seating for 4. We were somehow forgotten and after waiting and watching others coming in after us with much higher numbers we asked if we'd been overlooked. After a quick apology we were seated. Chips were already on the table as were 2 salsa bowls, since she was about to seat two before we asked if we'd been overlooked. The waitress brought one more bowl, leaving us one short. We asked twice for another bowl and additional silverware. The additional bowl was brought just prior to our meal. Drink orders were taken. She came back with 3 drinks and asked one person to repeat their order. He did and she came back with the wrong size drink. She forgot the water requested twice by one in our group. The food arrived and was tasty, about as expected for any Mexican restaurant in our area. Almost gave 3 stars because the service was poor but even though she wasn't a great waitress she had a sweet attitude and it was a busy night. I will try it again. UPDATE: Went back and were waited on promptly and both service & food was good!! Sometimes it pays to give someone a...
