Truly disgusting and disgraceful both the food and customer service (from the owner Josh) that I have received thus far today. My husband and I both order pulled chicken salads but were given grilled chicken tender salads to go instead. I was happy to look beyond this as chicken is chicken and the salad is the part I most enjoy. However, what I could not look past is the sad excuse of lettuce and tomatoes that they tried to serve me. The Tomatoes were far from fresh..the lettuce wilted with brown/black spots (not from the chicken as it was stone cold through and through). The cucumbers where sad as well. The whole thing smelled and tasted of lettuce that was three days past servable. I called corporate right off and got a very pleasant lady who told me she would let the owner know. I went ahead and called the store to see if I could speak to the owner myself. A very friendly and helpful lady named Angela answered and ask that I send pictures which I did. The owner named Josh then called me back. Never once did he apologize yet he was not very defensive he seemed to not really care at all. Which left me believing this is common place for him. He did not know the details of my issue before he called which showed he didnt care. He told me he could not refund my $30 for the two salads that we did not touch short of putting the dressing one. He said he could give me two more salads or something of equal value. I am not interested in obtaining anything short of my money back from that location. I would gladly consider getting something from another location but not Fultondale Alabama. He said this is not possible due to different owners and that corporate didn't allow refunds without food back. I am the one who has been wronged, spent money for food I can't eat, spent my time on four separate phone calls, and taken and text pictures, and now I'm expected to box the food back up and drive the 15 minutes back there for a refund. I must add never did corporate mention to me that refunds were not allowed but I am waiting on a phone call back now for clarification on this. I must add this is not the first issue I have had with this place but I can say for sure that it will be the last.
Update:
After listing this review I received a call from the manager and he resolved this to my satisfaction. That’s all I expected — so glad to see they do care if a customer gets bad service. ——-
Twice last month I have purchased in the drive-through family meals to go to take with me only to discover after driving another 50 miles to my destination that the desserts I’d purchased were not included when they packed my order.
Today I stopped to place another similar order, requesting this time they not charge me for the shorted items. I went inside today so I could talk to someone.
They refused to replace the items they shorted only promising this time “they would make sure I got what I ordered.” Wow, I’d hope so.
No apology. No offer to do anything to make up for this. They claim you must call immediately to report it when it happens. Are they really keeping a list of customers they shorted?
I’m sure they do this all the time (not intentionally but no one checks to confirm the entire order is complete — and it’s highly profitable to charge customers in drive-through for items and then not include them in the bags or boxes!
Highly disappointed after decades of buying food that the manager offered zilch. No apology. Not a free iced tee. Nothing except saying they wouldn’t rip me off this time.
So I recommend you not drive off until you unpack your orders to make sure they actually included you what you paid for. This will slow down the drive through a lot but if they won’t own up to their mistakes you have no choice.
Today I left without ordering. While I like the BBQ, it’s east to pick up food from the other restaurants who treat customers better.
Very disappointing— especially since they charge a...
Read moreI have customer service issues and product issues with this place.
First we were feeding a large group and the cashier kindly recommended that we get a few family packs and then upgrade our 2 pints to 2 quarts for an additional $3. We pay for the food and start reviewing the receipt as we thought the bill was high, only to notice that they charged us for 2 extra pints at full price. Pints are 6.95, quarts are 9.95 (may not be exact to the penny but it's close). I get the three dollar up-charge as that's the difference between the two but why would I pay nearly $14 for 2 pints (2 pints = 1 quart) when I could pay the $10 and get the same thing. We brought this to what appeared to be the manager on duty (he had a different color shirt than everyone else) and all he would assure us of is that he would speak with the cashier and acted as if we were crazy for questioning the charges for what we received. He made no offer to correct but only saying "what do you want me to do?". As a customer service manager you should know full and well what to do. On this alone I won't be back.
For the product, the brisket was cut thin (who does that) which severely limited the flavor available from the bark. Got chopped pork, this was insanely dry. Only saving grace is they give you almost 2 quarts of sauce - it's certainly needed. On the only positive note, the sausages where pretty good but overall we should all...
