My husband and I went to the pottery barn outlet store to see what they had since we were looking for a number of items for our home and I love pottery barn quality. However, I was very disappointed with their prices especially since it is labeled an outlet store. I actually looked up several items and they were the same as on the regular website so I'm not sure why this is considered an outlet store. I live an hour away so I doubt I would go back unless I was passing through. But if you decide to go just be prepared for the prices to be the same as in the regular stores.
Update: Came back through this area and stopped again to see if any prices were better since I got an email that pottery barn had 50% off for friends and family discount on all things in the store. The rugs were a good price and their mattresses were a good price with the discount, however, I still say that you can get just as good prices online or in their regular stores.
I wanted to amend my review since I only reviewed pottery barn previously. The JCrew store had fantastic prices and so did Crate and Barrel. My biggest complaint with Crate and Barrell was they did not have prices on items so we had to keep taking them up to the register. They even had a nice rug but we never found a price and it was too large to take to the register and the only person on the floor was more interested in telling another customer about the evil of covid vaccines. I will still come back though because what we did get prices on was very good and we bought several things every time we have been in the store.
The sketchers outlet I had high hopes for but their prices were insanely high I can get better prices online or at belks.
The food court was nice and had a variety of food and appeared clean.
There are alot of other stores we did not go into since we were short on time but my guess is that the prices will be similar to the stores I did go in; some will be better than others. The mall itself is kept nice but it is all outdoors so dress warm in the winter it was very cold when we were there last time but it was very nice to be able to go into whatever stores we chose without having to go into a mall setting especially in the world of covid. Next time I'm passing through I will probably stop to check the stores I liked and go into a few I didn't...
Read moreThis mall is something. The stores are not what I would consider outlets. You would be better served going to places like TJ Maxx, Ross or others to find deals on stuff closer to you. I wouldnt make a special trip to this spot if you dont live nearby.
I havent had any success finding anything of a real deal. I am not saying there isnt, but I hate shopping and I rarely (maybe once or twice a decade) go here. For instance, I went to the adidas(yes, its supposed to be lowercase) store and they had a take an extra 50% off. The stuff they had was in the odd sizes and the most low quality. You could see why they were marked down. Then they had their normal original shoes and there was no real mark down on them. There was a bit of clothing but no real deals. Many of the marked down shoes i dont even know why adidas was producing them. They seemed extremely cheap.
While that example was focused on adidas it is similar across all the places I have been. It is the same stuff at the same prices. Thanks but I have the internet and if it is not clothing then I will use Amazon.
The food court is pretty dismal. The options are sketchy. You are better off driving across the bridge and looking at your options there. Waffle House, Arbys, Subway, Clock to name a few.
Another thing is the design of the complex. Its primary shopping season is winter and the stores are in no way connected. If you park at one and want to walk around then good luck. Hope you brought a jacket. The long breezeways are like wind tunnels making it feel much colder. They are covered from the rain for most of the areas but you still might have to cross a large open area to get where you want.
The parking lot isnt maintained very well. It has many potholes and almost invisible lines. I am not sure of lighting at night. It is in Gaffney so I try not to be...
Read moreThe shopping experience was pretty good, but the food court is just so-so. I wanted a pretzel at one of the stands, I think it was called the nut company. The man and girl working the stand were confused. Anyways, I ordered my pretzel and bottled water, and it was $5.40. EXTREMELY high for that, since it is only 2-3 dollars at Target or somewhere. So the girl gets the pretzel and wraps it up in a bag. I unwrap it and find that it is covered in a greasy butter. It's not even crunchy. It's just completely soggy. It falls apart, too. I go back to the stand and show the guy, and he just looks at me and says, "that's how it is" and proceeds to tell me that they have to do that to make it right. I tell him that in the football games, Targets, or even the frozen ones you buy in the grocery store aren't this greasy or soggy. I just put it on the counter and say "you can have that." Then I say out loud "don't buy a pretzel because they are SCREWED UP!!" He didn't even offer to refund the money, he just said "okay." The poor little girl running the register was untrained, so it wasn't her fault. All in all, the shopping experience gets two stars, because it was messy and cluttered, and the food experience gets none. So just beware of this nut company, as they don't give refunds and don't know how to make pretzels the...
