First time going here. They just have started a self checkout lane but it only has one register. With a store that busy it kinda seems pointless. Added to this, on Senior Day there has to be an employee standing there watching over you as you ring everything up and then she has to put her key in, type thru several menus for you to be able to get the discount. What is the point? You should be able to scan your driver's license at the register and the discount come off that way. 🤦♀️The employee said she has to stand there for 8hrs doing this. And also she has to do the job for most customers because they either don't go fast enough or don't really understand it. Along with 2 other managers that seem like they're directing traffic but mostly stand and watch everything being done at the one and only self checkout. Complete Failure!!! Being my first time, the way they do business is very confusing. They put up the sale prices but alot of things will say 30% off or whatever % off but the clothes themselves had NO prices on them. I had no idea how much my purchase would be until as I was walking around, I stumble up on a price checking machine. No sign saying there was one there, I just got lucky. Guess they want to either make people spend more money or embarrass them when they can't afford everything. Not good business. Last but not least, you really need to make sure you read the signs before paying. If an item is a WOW sale item, no senior discount. Ok fine, but if the item rings up as a WOW but the sign doesn't say WOW, you will need to point that our so you can get your discount. I didn't understand all of this until after I left the store. And didn't feel like going back up there for the difference. So if and when, but mostly if I ever go back, I've now learned not to trust Hamricks and that they did their job correctly. Read moreReturned an item on Saturday October 29, 2021 in Greenville SC. I had my receipt. The box was tore. The cashier stated that he had to called the manager. I stated okay. Doris the Store Manager. She got to the register was and stated in a unprofessional and hateful loudly and said why did you tear up my box in front of every customer in line behind me. I told her you will not talk to me like that! Nothing in this store has your name on it! This store is the most disrespectful prejudice store EVER! She ( Doris) stated we can’t seem to satisfy you find yo another store. I have reached out to the Customer Service in Gaffney Ms. Clark. Read moreI'm editing my review! They do NOT have a separate person for Returns!! You have to wait in the long line of people wanting to check out! This is not helpful for anyone, especially us older folks w knee and back issues when all we want to do is get in and out to return an item! Not customer driven by any means! Was not happy about their new change whatsoever so decided never shopping there again. Line is too long and takes a long time to get though for just regular shopping. And what's with the woman sitting over everyone above? I'd feel like the Gestapo watching my every move if I was an employee working registers! No thanks! They do have Great prices. Huge selection. Need bathrooms on both sides of bldg and more help...
