I wish this was a 10-star system so I could give Corks & Colors more stars! I have been going here for about 6 months now and have always been so pleased with my experience. It's a great, welcoming space where you can stretch your creative muscles (no matter how long it might be since you've used them lol). They offer pieces that are blank canvases such as plates/bowls, others that give some more direction like figurines, and some especially fun wildcard things from time to time (I think I saw a miniature tea set and one of those Lenox style light-up Christmas trees?). The price you pay includes everything you need to get started, whether you choose to paint pottery or just canvas with acrylic. You can buy wine, beer, or soft drinks as well. After going in a handful of times the staff started to recognize me and compliment the pieces I was making/picking up. The owner, Erika, is incredibly kind and helpful, as is every employee I've interacted with. Sometimes if I need suggestions or advice with a design, I'll ask one of them and they're very insightful with great tips. I've yet to make it to a class, but everyone in the classes upstairs seems to be very pleased with their experience. I'm excited to try some classes in the future (there's painting on canvas, sculpting, and throwing on the pottery wheel)! As a Gainesville native, it's nice to be able to support a local business with such kind staff and to feel welcome into a comfortable space. Thanks to Erika and all other staff for always...
Read moreI came with my son and a few ither moms and babes and we all had a great time! They set us up upstairs and it was nice that we had our own space. The staff was very friendly and patient as we figured out the pieces we wanted to make, get our paint, and settle in. Erica, the owner, came up and helped us all with our little ones' hand/foot prints and had a smile on her face the whole time. We didn't feel rushed or like an inconvenience at all especially after we were all done and cleaning up. Our things were done 4 days later despite being told it would take a week. I will definitely be back! Looking foreard to seeing the grandparents open their presents and see these coasters (they had a deal of 4 for $25 so I made 2 santas and 2 xmas trees) and for my husband to see his gator plate! Thank you guys for being so accomodating, patient, fun, and pleasant. Loved the music...
