I can't speak to the quality of the fields or sport facilities at this park. However if you follow the road till the dead-end you will see a beautiful covered bridge leading out to a large grassy field. If you follow the trail as it winds its way down the peninsula you can see many beach areas with pretty nice views of the lake. The entire loop trail is a bit over 1 mile but is relatively easy to hike. The trail is so enjoyable that I've been going at least once a month for the past 2 years.
