I can't speak to the quality of the fields or sport facilities at this park. However if you follow the road till the dead-end you will see a beautiful covered bridge leading out to a large grassy field. If you follow the trail as it winds its way down the peninsula you can see many beach areas with pretty nice views of the lake. The entire loop trail is a bit over 1 mile but is relatively easy to hike. The trail is so enjoyable that I've been going at least once a month for the past 2 years. I highly recommend getting out to that part of the park as this is a hidden gem rather close to the...

A vibrant park in Gainesville and off Lake Lanier. On the weekends, the parking lot and baseball fields are packed with student league games. Further down, there is a picnic shelter and tables overlooking the lake. The hiking path starts from the covered bridge and circumnavigates around the small island. The path is wide and easy to hike with little offshoots to get closer...

The park itself is beautiful but and offers a lot of different things if you want to play ball or something but some more seating near the lake and the covered bridge such as benches bench swings would be a great way to just go and enjoy the beautiful view for us who aren’t there to watch a game or play a sport. Very well maintained park. Our son usually plays his Allstar/Tournament games here. Concessions have lots of options, very friendly. There’s also a couple of hawks that nest on top of one of the lights, it’s super cool to see and watch. They don’t bother anyone, but just a cool mention. Overall, nice facilities.

This is a great park hiking trails, picnic tables.I think there's even a grill. There's a place to put your boat in the water and park your truck. There's a softball field. There's really cute bridge that takes you across to the meadow , which takes you to the trail and it is very nice.
