Lanier Point Park — Attraction in Gainesville

I can't speak to the quality of the fields or sport facilities at this park. However if you follow the road till the dead-end you will see a beautiful covered bridge leading out to a large grassy field. If you follow the trail as it winds its way down the peninsula you can see many beach areas with pretty nice views of the lake. The entire loop trail is a bit over 1 mile but is relatively easy to hike. The trail is so enjoyable that I've been going at least once a month for the past 2 years. A vibrant park in Gainesville and off Lake Lanier. On the weekends, the parking lot and baseball fields are packed with student league games. The park itself is beautiful but and offers a lot of different things if you want to play ball or something but some more seating near the lake and the covered bridge such as benches bench swings would be a great way to just go and enjoy the beautiful view for us who aren’t there to watch a game or play a sport.
