this place is a hidden treasure.....from the outside you would never expect what is behind the beautifully decorated door.....my sister and i were impressed from the moment we walked in....the decor was very elegant and tasteful... none of that fast food feel that it seems most chinese restaurants have adopted....i was especially taken with the absence of a buffet line.... hmmmm, let's check out the menu....everything looked good.... i chose the scallops w/shrimp & chicken, sis picked broccoli beef (i'm more adventurous!!).... the food was AMAZING....each bite was better than the last....everything was sooooooo fresh....the egg rolls and spring rolls were hot out of the fryer, but not greasy....without the sitting on the steam table rubberiness....the scallops were cooked perfectly, the shrimp & chicken flavorful, the beef melted in your mouth like butter, the vegetables so fresh and crisp, as if they had gone out back and picked them!!! the service was excellent, the staff attentive without hovering....and the prices couldn't be beat.... we were there during the lunch hour....11am-3pm....i think nothing on the menu was over $7.00...and even though we came in at 2:40, the food was as fresh & hot as if it was the first service of the day.... hands down, this has to be the best chinese i've had in a long time....and i've been around....used to be a longhaul trucker, and i've eaten chinese from florida to new jersey to wyoming to utah....you get the idea.....this was top notch....lunch, drinks and a five dollar...
Read moreMenu items listed with ingredients should not be jammed full of ingredients that flavor the dish (green peppers in particular) that are not mentioned in the item's description, Yu Hsiang Pork for one, Hot Braised Chicken for another. Food was just so-so, so not going back there anyway. Photo is all green peppers from those two dishes, 90% from the Yu Hsiang Pork.
Green peppers from a dish that is not supposed to have them!
Owner's response ignores the issue, "Menu items LISTED WITH INGREDIENTS…" Your menu lists the ingredients: "Yu Hsiang Pork – Shredded pork, green onion, and bamboo shoot sautéed with hot pepper brown sauce." Does it say "green pepper"? No! Does it say "and other vegetables"? No! If you're going to list the ingredients in a particular dish, you don't get to add heaps of other ingredients to suit your whim, particularly ones that have such an impact on the flavor.

Read moreThis was so close to our house we decided to give it a try. We ordered a decent amount of food for 3. First they only let you pay by credit or debit card. Second it takes a little over an hour and we literally live 10 minutes up the road for the restaurant. When the food got here it wasn't even hot. We had to microwave it. Then when we got the order inside they had forgotten part of our order. When I called, whoever it was that answered the phone spoke so fast it didn't even sound like words. I wasn't sure I called the right place. Then when I told him what happened he quickly (almost cutting me off mind you) told me he would just give me a double order for next. Time when I told him no that wouldn't work and couldn't he just refund it to my card he told me no. He asked where I lived and said he'd send the item back out. It is currently an hour later. We have finished eating and we will still have no received that part of our order. I will NEVER order food from this restaurant or suggest anyone go...
