Michaels — Local services in Gainesville

So, y'all help me out.

I purchased a Silhouette Cameo 4 from Michael's in Dawsonville back in May of this year. I finally tried to set it up on this past Sunday (December 15) and I couldn't get the power to turn on 😳.

So, I'm frazzled right, because I spent so much of my hard earned money on this thing 😭 I realized what was wrong (you'll see it).

I called Michael's and told them that the wrong machine was in the box (I felt dumb at first, but progress not perfection, right? 😂) but the GM said I'm outside the return window and that they don't accept open box items; I have my original receipt. They told me to contact the manufacturer. I sent an e-mail but haven't received a response.

I've called the store 2 more times since then to no avail, and I called corporate today. I let the line ring for 20m of my 45m lunch break before finally giving up. And silhouette still hasn't answered. I'm genuinely perplexed at the lack of concern. And FYI - I didn't need to use the machine in May so I didn't open it to set it up. I finally cleared out enough space in my office to set it up. Not everyone opens their purchases right after they buy them 🙌🏽 But they also don't expect to be ignored when they bring the issue to the forefront. All I asked for was help. I didn't get my money back, and I want what I paid for.

What's Not to love about Michaels if you love Art, Crafts, Photography and Home Decorations?Am told Hobby Lobby is less expensive but I do not know this to be a FACT, since I love Michaels ....and that's the Store we're talking about. Granted, it is a bit costly, but you cannot find their selections anywhere else. At least I cannot. :) Their Inventory is much to big to list, which means if you're creative or artistic or a Decorator & Photographer, you will find what your heart desires. Unfortunately I am no longer able to replace my Stencil Collection, which was extensive for their selection...eventhough still very good...has decreased in sizes and choices. Mine vanished after teaching Classes on making Greeting Cards to Seniors. Perhaps Stamping is more desired now??? Cannot think of anything that I haven't found there for my various projects and things I didn't look for.Get new ideas when I'm there. Perfect place for the upcoming Holidays especially Wreaths,ribbons, ornaments and unique items to make your wreaths and all holiday indoor decor your personal touch. Michael's in and of itself is a wonderful store but to be honest, I think they may have a lot of different things in here but they seem to have a little of a lot of different things. I believe that they need to expand on bringing more items, different choices for what they already have in the store. I went looking for wedding items for both my daughter and myself's wedding but didn't have many items to choose from which really saddened both my son, fiancee n myself. Other than that Michael's has a lot of things. You may find things that you didn't even know that you needed or...
