It had been nearly 6 years since I last went to Chicken Salad Chick. Me and my mother had the opportunity to go during their grand opening. While the atmosphere and service were fantastic, the chicken salad at the time was just ok. I was curious to see how the restaurant was one afternoon and went there for lunch. There were an average amount of people for lunch.
Going inside, I was surprised to not only see already packed chicken salad that people can purchase to take home for the family, but also that they expanded the menu to included different types of Chicken Salad from savory types, spicy types, and healthier types with fruits and nuts. I also saw that they now added pimento as another option for people to get along with egg salad as well as the option to place your favorite chicken salad or pimento into a sandwich. I ended up ordering a trio combo which had a scoop of the Classic Carol, a scoop of the Cranberry Kelli and a side soup of Loaded Potato Salad along with several crackers and a butterscotch cookie. The meal was fantastic with the Cranberry Kelli being the best with both a slightly salty and sweet taste. The soup was really creamy and paired well with the crackers.
There were a large variety of customers from families to people on their lunch break from work. The staff were also really helpful and kind with one of them picking up my finished basket to dispose of the trash as I was about to get up and do it myself. I thanked her for it. I was so impressed by the service and food that I decided to buy some chicken salad to go for my parents. When I told them that it was my first time coming here since they first open, the man at the register smiled and said “ Well, welcome back.” I can start to see why this place has managed to stay popular after all...
Read moreEdit: I gave them another shot recently and they made my food without pickles & lettuce! So I'm raising my rating up to 3 stars. If they can continue this trend, I will continue to raise my rating.
I love the food here, but I always ask for no pickles & lettuce with my side scoop, but they always give it to me anyway. I have complained numerous times, and have been contacted by the district manager, but for some reason the kitchen crew just flat out refuses to read the notes portion of the ticket that the cashier types in. Today I brought it to the manager's attention. She gave it back to the kitchen & all they did was take the lettuce & pickle out of my box. I still have pickle juice rolling around in my box & getting soaked into my bread. Apparently most people like that, but I do not, and now I have to eat a sandwich that is not appealing to me. So if you have any food allergies or any specific foods that you just don't want in your container, be aware that you will probably get them whether you want them or not. I would eat here a lot more often if they would simply follow my...
Read moreI love Chicken Salad Chick. I’ve been going to this location for many many years. However, my last visit was not so great. I found a small very hard wood piece in my sandwich. I reached out to Chicken Salad Chick customer service with proof (a picture) and they passed my email along to the general manager, Cynthia. Cynthia reached out to me and asked me to provide her with my phone number so that she may call me to provide me with a refund since I was unable to finish my meal due to finding something in my food. However, Cynthia never reached out to me. I sent another email as a follow up and she did not respond to my emails nor reach out by phone. I’m more disappointed in the lack of customer service and satisfaction. I find it rude and will likely cause me not to return. I attached an image of what I found in my sandwich. This was very hard, not easy bendable. Looks like a wood chipping. Be cautious, check your food. Don’t expect them to right...
