Today while checking out in the garden section a couple came in without masks. The associate at the register immediately asked them to put masks on, to which they replied they both had notes from doctors saying they were exempt (which they would not provide). The woman at the counter reasoned with them saying they could come it but needed masks to check out at the register. The man got very angry claiming that America was a free country and his wife fainted from lack of oxygen when she wore a mask. He was basically irate at this point shouting at the now several employees, claiming he was a veteran and had rights to freedom. One employee calmly told the man that yes the US is a free country so Menards is free to refuse service to anyone and asked them to leave the premises. I was so impressed by the way Menards staff handled this situation. Those of us customers who witnessed it were all very grateful and thanked the employees for protecting our safety. Also, a nice employee helped me unload my purchases to my car, thanked me for shopping at Menards, and then took my cart back for me. This entire experience made my day brighter. I was already a loyal customer and now I’m even more convinced that Menards is a wonderful...

I attempted to explain to the manager that it I would be committing a felony by wearing a mask due to the concealed carry laws here in Illinois and they were unwilling to bend on mask guidelines. Just one day prior I was allowed to enter the Menards in West Burlington without a mask and noticed many of the staff in that store without masks. The manager told her that she should simply leave the unsupervised 10 year old in the car to care for the 18 month old while she came into the store. I can't believe this was even a thought.
I realize that the COVID pandemic is something to be concerned about but this type of behavior is clearly discriminatory and in violation of the rights of our...

I've done nothing wrong to warrant such. she followed me slowly all the way back to the dock area. not how you treat delivery drivers. glad yall didn't have shirts in my size. I'll find my grill and toolbox at a different brand hardware store. thanks for the...
