The Metaphysical Way — Attraction in Garland

I visited The Metaphysical Path for the first and last time Feb 16,2019. The owners, Larry and Deb were cordial and helpful as I made a purchase totally $190. This includes a deck of cards, Florida Water and crystals. The main reason I went to this store is because I like to support small businesses as I have had several retail businesses myself. I was particularly looking for a tetrite Stone, called Moldavite. I had been unable to find one in other crystal shops. I was shocked at the cost of the very tiny stone that they had. I was told it is rare and expensive but like I said I was shocked at the price of $49 for a chip of a stone 1/2 the size of my thumb nail. Since it was a gift for someone special I went a head and purchased it, as I complained about the price:(. ( I should have listen to my intuition) On Feb 18, I went to the Silver Pyramid in Richardson. They had a huge selection of all sizes and grades of Moldavite from the Czech Republic at a fraction of the price I had paid at the Metaphysical Way. Feb 19, I called Deb and very kindly explained who I was and that I would like to return or exchange the tiny Moldavite stone. She abruptly said “There are no returns or exchanges. I told her I had been to the Silver Pyramid and their prices were a fraction of what I had paid for the tiny stone. She Said, Too bad, there’s a sign on the register that says no refunds or exchanges.( I hadn’t noticed it there.) Too bad ! You knew what the price was when you bought it. There’s no exchanges.” I said ,” Couldn’t I just exchange it for something else?” She repeated . There’s no refunds or exchanges. My response was “really? That’s really too bad. Ok. Goodbye”. I have never ever written a bad review on any website before but I feel ripped of and taken advantage of as a senior lady, I forgive them, but feel I should present my experience. BAD VIBES BUYERS BEWARE If I could give zero stars, I would do it in a heartbeat! The woman I spoke with on the phone kept cutting me off and then hung up in my face twice. I live 45 minutes away and told her I was more than willing to make the drive if she could give me a price range estimate on a particular crystal. Instead of letting me finish my sentence, she immediately responded with no. I asked why she couldn’t..I just wanted to know approximately how much something would cost before driving that far. That’s a pretty reasonable request. But instead of being an adult, she chose to act like a child. She was extremely rude and seemed very nonchalant. “I have customers right now you’ll just have to come in. Proceeds to cut me off Just come in!” And hangs up. This happened twice! I understand it’s a busy store but I was willing to wait on hold until she could give me that estimate. Unfortunately I won’t be shopping here due to the lack of professionalism. If you’re interested in purchasing a crystal, I would shop else where like Silver Pyramid or Rock Barrel in Richardson. Both stores can give you price estimates over the phone (even when they’re busy!) and have no problem treating potential customers with the utmost kindness...

SHOP OWNER DOES NOT ALLOW CHILDREN 13 YRS OR UNDER INTO THE SHOP

This is not why I give this shops 1 star. I gave it this rating because the vibes where extremely extremely negative when my daughter and I came in. She looked at my daughter as I came in and the owner looked like she was going to say something. I immediately looked at her and she stopped. my daughter is 13 anyways but from the get go a negativity was felt. The owner literally watched us for the whole 15 mins we were there. She didn’t asked if we needed help just stared. My daughter picked up 2 crystals only because even she noticed how expensive they were. Example: A selenite tower was $200.00 and at Silver Pyramid I paid $39.00. When we got up to pay, again nothing friendly or warm came from here.

*STORE IS VERY LIMITED IN THEIR INVENTORY *CARRIES SMALL ROCKS *EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. *NOT WELCOMING

I get that this is their store and they can sell to whoever they want or deny to but for money they will just make you feel real uncomfortable and still take your money.

I only purchased from them because my daughter has already picked her crystals but we are never going back to...
