This morning, I went to Target to pick up a few items and purchase a wedding gift from a registry. A month ago, I went to Target and the registry kiosks were malfunctioning, and the same thing happened today. After trying to print out the registry on all three kiosks, there was no employee around to help so I had to try to track down an employee with my 2.5 year old and 13 month old in tow (and being 6 months pregnant). The first two people in red shirts that I asked for help said they were in training and couldn't help. I have no idea why they couldn't have helped me to find someone not in training to help. Customer service should be the first thing they learn. I finally tracked down a woman and she confirmed the kiosks were not working and called a technical guy up to help. After waiting on him for 5 minutes, he looked at the kiosks and told me he didn't really know anything about them. He told me they are going to be replaced soon, which is the same thing I heard last time I visited a month ago. I asked if there was some way I could get a list printed off, because surely they have a back up plan. He said there should be if I go to some nearby office. So I waited again for the employee behind Guest Services to help me and ask the people in the office to print off a list, while my two boys were going stir-crazy, understandably. I asked to speak to a manager, and the woman who had been 'helping' all along was apparently a manager. I complained that I should not have to seek out employees at Target for help, especially during a non-busy hour, and that they should have a backup plan for when things like this happen, especially since these kiosks have been an ongoing problem. She assured me they would print off the list in the back, and after waiting another 10 minutes for her to print it, I eventually walked out of Target after waiting for 30 minutes with two young boys on a simple registry list. This 30 minutes of ineptitude cost me all the time I had to shop in the store, because my two boys were restless at being confined to a cart for so long.
I have been a long-time lover of Target, and will continue to be a Target shopper in the future. But I can tell you one thing, I will not set foot in the Target in Acworth ever again. It's level, or lack thereof, of customer service should embarass it's store manager. And I guarantee you the woman I spoke with was not the overall store manager because her lack of knowledge and any type of resolution gave her away from the beginning. The Target in Acworth is the closest Target to me, and I'm very disappointed that I'll have to drive farther to get any kind of...
Read moreMelanie was my checker tonight. She was very rude. I was trying to buy a pack of popits for my teenagers stocking. You know the little paper things you throw on the ground and they go pop pop pop. Anyhow Melanie told me I didn’t look a day over 18 and insisted I go to my car for an ID for paper popits. Mind you it’s 30 degrees outside. That’s a hard no. I was shocked to heck I’ve never heard of this before. She was commenting about my heels and my ankles? I guess because I was lifting my items out of the cart or something she’s judging me and my age? Either way, so she insisted on the ID that of which I’ve never had a problem. This isn’t dang alcohol it’s a piece of snapping paper. She was so focused on being rude and catty she wasn’t even scanning the items right in my cart and didn’t provide the gift card on a buy 2 get a gift card deal. Rude as heck and not only am I a customer I’m a target stock holder. She’s bad for business and she was missing scanning items right in the cart. A dishonest individual would have walked out with free items because of her errors due to her attitude. She needs retraining and or moved to a new position in the store. I am going to avoid this store for awhile I have a feeling she won’t be working at the store long given that she’s very rude to the customer. I’m sure I’m not the only customer she has or will encounter. I understand the hours are extended and workers are tired, but it’s not my fault...
Read moreI went in to purchase some washing garment bags for one of my business clients because I told him about the ones that I had already purchased and then purchased my for my husband to keep his socks in order when washing. I couldn't find them, so I asked a young man and a young lady and they were real sure. Then I went to the front of the store and saw Lara R. being so amazing managing the self checkout, and she told me exactly where they should be, but when we found out they were out of stock she immediate helped me order online and have them shipped to my home address. AWESOME! Laura R. is an amazing employee and she is so phenomenal at multi-tasking. She was helping folks get checked-out, directing folks to departments and helping me order my garment bags online. She is truly a ROCK STAR!!!!!!!!! It is a blessing to have her in the store because she is a GEM. She has a great personality, she is professional, she is just all out customer service oriented, and such a sweet lady. Please promote her because she makes Super Target in Acworth, Georgia a better...
