Rando Frame & Gallery — Attraction in Germantown

My wife and I decided to get a painting her late grandmother painted for her cleaned and the linen liner replaced at Rando Frames. We didn’t have a standard framing shop, and this one happened to be next door to our pool place so we brought it in around late July. We were quoted about a month turn around time and a steep price of over $300. We hadn’t had anything framed in a while so we agreed to the steep price just because we wanted it done right and well for this precious piece. Months went by with no luck of completion, and we were told it was due to COVID stopping linen liner production, so they were going to use a different liner color which we agreed to. More months went by, and we were finally able to pick it up a week before Christmas. We went in the shop and waited a while as the employee had to filter through many framing jobs because nothing was organized. She finally found the piece, and we left happy. We didn’t take the piece out of the plastic in effort to preserve the cleanliness and not wanting to drop it but through plastic it looked fine. I just unwrapped the plastic (less than a week later), and there is dust all over the frame. The dust is so thick you could remove some with a finger swipe. We were told the $300 was so steep because of the disassembly and cleaning process to preserve the integrity of the original frame, but clearly there was no cleaning to be done. I showed up Monday in need of pulling apart an old, framed piece, preparing it for making a high-resolution photo, and then reframing with very tight turnaround time. Chris at Rando Framing was excellent… He understood what I needed, was incredibly helpful and resourceful and completed the project and proactively called me first thing Wednesday to pick up my reframed piece. I would highly highly recommend and I will go back to them any time I need framing...

I have had several pieces framed at Rando Frame and Gallery, and each time they have gone above and beyond to provide the finest work and made sure that I love my artwork even more.
