Good morning. I came in to your Germantown, TN location a few weeks ago with my husband and baby. We were seated and used the highchair that we brought for our baby. After about 30 minutes a manager came and told us we couldn't use the highchair as it was a fire hazard. That would be fine if she actually addressed us politely. Instead she was speaking to us but standing facing and glaring at our waitress and saying it very rudely. She continued to scold her in front of us. She was visibly frazzled after the interaction. We have a 1 year old who obviously needs to be contained. The restaurant was almost empty and she didn't offer us another location where our highchair might be suitable. We asked what we were supposed to do with him and only then did she offer a booster seat. The booster seat did not have any straps and soon after our baby smashed his face into the table. I had to get up to walk and rock my baby to comfort him for 15 minutes. Eventually we moved things around, attempting to move the table and ended up turning him sideways and packing things around him to try to make the situation safer. In this time no one came to address us at all. we went again yesterday with a plan in mind of how we would seat him safely in a booster. Thankfully this hostess gave us a proper booster seat with straps that we didn't even know were available at our previous visit. Someone took our drink orders and an order of fries for our baby that we wanted to come out quickly. We never saw her again. Eventually another waitress came and even though we were confused, we proceeded to reorder the things we had before and went ahead with the full meal order in hopes that we wouldn't have to wait much longer. We received our drinks and appetizers. We hear the the same voice of the manager that was so rude in front of us at the last visit. She is again scolding everyone and understandably everyone is again frazzled. At this point there is a lot of confusion at other tables for incorrect orders. We watch food go out then go right back in. We even were brought an order that was not ours. Our waitress was so visibly upset as we could see her all night bc we were right beside the kitchen and order station. Even though she was right there, she never made eye contact or spoke with us again until we asked for the check. Not once. I had to ask another employee for a drink refill. Our food took forever and the food wasn't cooked to the our specifications. We finally got our food, got boxes, paid and left. Good service starts at the top. The way you lead determines the efficacy of the staff. Kindness begets kindness. You get the point. I'm very disappointed in the environment and the culture of this location. No one wants to eat their meal over the sound of anger and rudeness. No one wants to worry about the safety of their infant in the provided seating. I hope that this is read and received in your hearts. I really enjoy the food and would like to enjoy...
Read moreAngelia was our waiter and she was super nice! She educated us on the menu and offered us suggestions! She even gave us a little history on how they are ranked #6 for their famous Beignets! We’ve had the #1 ranked beignets in New Orleans but these are so good here in Memphis! I’m just glad Memphis has a spot here ranked high on Lmt he list and we enjoyed it! The dough was soft with a little crunch! It was sweet and they don’t shy away from the sweet icing! The bottom of the bowl is covered in icing! That was a good touch! Their beignets are in a different lane by itself! We live them!
The ZZ tots were recommended so we gave it a shot! And it was so good! The right about if flavor and spicy sauce that wasn’t overpowering but enjoyable! It was unique!
The pizza we had beef pepperoni, green olives, black olives, and pineapple! The beef pepperoni was delicious! We don’t eat pork but glad to have this alternative as beef pepperoni is hard to find in restaurants that serve pizza! It was still greasy a little bit which we miss from eating pork and it was flavorful! The pizza dough was a little soft but hard enough to hold the pizza together and the crust was classic and crunchy! The sauce on the pizza was good and the cheese held up nicely! All the toppings stuck to the pizza and didn’t slide off! It was good!
We had about 3 people stop by our table to see if we were okay! Everybody spoke to us! I can’t speak on nobody else’s experience but my own! I can’t vouch for no one else taste buds expect my own and my wife’s! We ready the reviews on Google and gave it a shot and I’m glad we did! This will be our new pizza spot! I heard the bear was good so I’ll have to try that and the cocktails!
Thanks ya’ll! Holla at Cha Boy...
Read moreUpdate: Trevor and I talked through email, and he was extremely kind and apologized for everything that happened.
Let me start by saying that I like the food here. I also really like their beer. After a bad server experience, though, I'm not sure I'll be going back. We had a large table with one server who was doing his best so I gave him an extra tip above the automatic gratuity because I felt for the guy. Then as he is clearing plates, he drops several plates on me and another person and gets ketchup, aioli, fries, and other food all over us. Accidents happen and I've definitely been there myself in past serving jobs, but the server did not even apologize. He had run everyone's cards and already brought everyone their boxes at that point so he just left the room without returning. No manager or other server ever came to check on us after that and offer an apology either. When another person in our group informed someone at the bar what had happened she gave a very half-hearted apology for the accident but seemed unconcerned that one of their servers had created a huge mess and ruined our clothes without so much as an apology. I wasn't looking to make a scene, for someone to lose their job, or get something for free but just common courtesy and owning up to the accident. While I like their food and beer, I can find better service elsewhere with...
