If I could give zero stars I would. Here are the details. I received a damaged package from Japan, the sender submitted a claim, and I was called by USPS to take my package to post office for damage inspection. I was also told I would receive a mail and needed to send this back as well.
So I left work early, waited at the Gilbert Elliott location for 45 minutes, and spoke to the two worst USPS employees I've ever encountered - Diana and Perry. If you worked for an actual company you two would be FIRED!
They said I misunderstood the directions that were given. They told me I needed to bring some document (but couldn't tell me what), and they said their location doesn't deal with international packages. They offered no help...and when I wanted to play the message I had on my phone, Perry was rude and aggressive, told me I was being scammed because the post office doesn't communicate that way.
They never listened to the message or offered any assistance...They literally closed the door on me and told me we don't have time to deal with this because they had trucks to unload.
I will be calling the post master to deal with this issue. Avoid this office like the plague, they are untrained, rude, aggressive, argumentative, unprofessional, and worst of all they try to give a horrible customer service experience, this way people will not return.
I don't generally write reviews...however, this is the works experience I've had in 2015...I felt it was my responsibility to...
Read more** EDITI am beyond upset to say the least! First I do have to say the post master is such an amazing employee and truly goes out of his way! My neighbors and I have an issue with the delivery driver….which as of recent we’ve noticed have not been the same person so not sure which one isn’t taking his job seriously. I have missed import legal documents multiple times because they have been delivered else where to other neighbors, we are all extremely frustrated and most of my neighbors are seniors and are scared to speak up. SOMETHING NEEDS TO CHANGE!!!!!!!!
I am so frustratedOk so today I had a 75.00 dollar package that said it was delivered so I went out and it was no where to be found so of course I emailed them and got a response that it may take 3 days to resolve so I was stressing BUT!!!! I had someone from the post office come out and deliver it after hours… I was truly amazed by their response time! God bless you all at this location you truly exceeded expectations… best mail service ever lol don’t mind me I did have a few drinks before posting this as I was super stressed don’t...
Read moreLike dummies we didn't check our mail for a while and our mail box got too full so they took it to the mail center and gave us the standard 10 days to recover it. We didn't check the mail until late on the 9th day so the 10th day (a Saturday) we went to the post office to get it, filled out a form, and they said to come back on Tuesday as it should be there. I went on Tuesday and they didn't have it, so they gave me two phone numbers for the mail centers to call. I went home and called both numbers and got a busy signal on several attempts at each number. Thinking there was something wrong with the phone numbers, and worries our mail was already returned to sender, I went back to the post office and told the guy what happened, and he went above and beyond! Called the mail centers and had them put our mail on the truck for us to pick it up tomorrow morning. I wish I caught his name but he was a tall, thin, middle-aged man. Thank...
