Rowand's Farm — Attraction in Glassboro

This was my grandparent's favorite local farm. They felt blessed to live just 1 mile from Rowand's. It gave them joy to be able to buy such high quality local produce. Yes! Rowand's has delicious fruits & vegetables. June 2, 2018 I purchased 4 qts of Rowand's strawberries for two rustic 8" double-layered strawberry country cakes for my brother's birthday cake. Rowand's strawberries are so delicious & such a beautiful deep ruby red they do not require cake, sugar or whipped cream. They were truly the star of the cakes. Whenever I visit home & Rowand's is open I always visit & buy excellent quality nutritious healthy produce &/or gorgeous plants & flowers. Very kind-hearted, knowledgeable, friendly staff. It was a beautiful day for strawberry 🍓picking. I wish I took pictures or a video. The strawberries are small. I think that has a lot to do with the cool rainy weather that’s been going on. There was a lot of strawberries dead on the vine. But there wasn’t a whole lot of strawberries that were diseased. I think with all the rain and the strawberries that weren’t picked is the reason why they’re dead on the vine. The price was right at $3.95 a pound and it only took 30 minutes to fill a little plastic bin. It was fine and rewarding. I also bought a really healthy hanging basket plant for my porch. I’ve had it with this place my sixth year in a row I can’t pick cherries despite many many phone calls since May I called on the day they said picking will start and they are already done I know weather is a factor but this is a joke the first yr I picked I went three times and met wonderful folks I will never go back and buy anything from here.
