I'm confused. Have the employees here had actual training in customer service? My guess would be no. The last three years I've purchased a PO box for a number of months for an event I hold. This year has been absolutely horrible.
I organize an event where people mail in/send checks to this PO Box. I know of FOUR.... let me repeat, FOUR envelopes never made it to me. When I ask to speak with the postmaster, they're not available. The manager tells me "you don't know that it's our fault". Yes, Shequanda, it is because those four pieces of mail were returned to sender when everything was addressed correctly. I also did not receive two other registrations (from reliable and responsible humans) and lord knows what happened to those. I can only guess it was lost at that post office.
After speaking w/Shequanda, she assured me her manager would look into it and call later that day. I never received a call and had to call the next day and spoke with her manager, Gail, who equally could care less. Again, I received the run around, "you can't prove we lost the mail". Ugh.
Today, I reluctantly went inside to drop off a prepaid package and get some stamps. There was a customer ahead of me who was asking how to get a new passport because the one that was delivered to her was "tossed on her porch in the rain" and was water damaged. Instead of directing the woman to the Dept of State, she responds with "we can't control the weather". Then it was my turn.... I asked if they had holiday stamps and she proceeds to lay them out in front of her. I asked, "are these my choices?" and she says "you asked for holiday stamps!". Customer service at its finest.

Read moreThey do not scan packages leaving the post office for the sorting facility. So even though our carrier (who is the reason for the star. He's great) scans the shipment manifest, my parcels often show a status of "Shipment Accepted waiting for parcel." or, if I put out a single package, they l show no tracking at all. Since the sorting facility scans only about half it seems, usually my packages do not have any tracking until they show up at the destination, where scanning never seems to be too difficult. Only in Chicago and Glen Ellyn is scanning such a hassle . This post office has cost me money and business by failing to scan my packages. Right now I have a Priority parcel I mailed yesterday that still has no tracking. I do not know if this has anything to do withith us not getting our mail until 7 or 8 pm, but it does not matter. It is USPS procedure, it is not being folllwed and itvcauses me grief.
Taking them to the post office does no good. Even if I stand in line the scan they give it at the counter only generates a receipt. It does not update tracking. My understanding is that items are all supposed to receive a scan before they leave the building. It never happens. I need my tracking on my packages updated. I need them to run those barcodes I print over a scanner so mt buyers know their item is coming and not just sitting somewhere. Or lost. That is what I pay for. But I rarely receive the service I...
Read moreI used to come to this post office all the time around 4 years ago and the workers were awesome… I’m not sure what happened recently but the staff is absolutely horrible. So far two of my packages have been in “lost“ and tracking states it was at Glen Ellyn post office. The girl I dealt with just give me a phone number to call and was really rude to me. I also went there to buy some tape for a package, I put the tape on the counter with cash and the girl behind the counter just stared at me… We were literally standing there staring at each other with no words exchanged WTH! She then pointed to a sign on the counter that said Visa and debit only, since when do they not take cash? But the fact that she didn’t even acknowledge me was unreal. I then overheard the man next to me stating his package was missing from his PO Box… And he was also filing a form for a missing package. As I’m reading these reviews there seem to be a lot of packages that have been missing from this post office. I never had any problem years ago when I was going there almost every day due to my Amazon store. I will never return to this post office, I don’t trust them.
