What could I say.... Ughh, one look at the place, DATED....
I mean seriously, brick and mortar locations really need to up their games these days. Honestly, is there actually any advantage to going into a location in town, to pay more for the items on hand. I empathize with the merchants, and clearly understand they are in term leases with high costs attached. However, I, like most consumers today, can not justify paying x% more for the same products I can purchase online for far less money. The only thing that I could possibly see that would entice me, maybe even excite me a bit, about going to a retail center these days would be uniqueness of the shop and products. A mom and pop non franchised store would be a great change of pace. Personally I dislike the box stores, Walmart, Best Buy, and the like because of what they have done to the local economy, and the small boutique type of shops. I am as guilty as many other consumers that are price sensitive with inflation and stagnant earnings going to the most cost effective shops for limited budgets. Ouch, however, it does put consumers in a awkward spot. We, as consumers, may want our small unique shops, but being price sensitive may find it difficult to consistently patronize those shops because of price sensitivity. The small shops can't compete with the larger box stores...
As consumers we all need to make the decision of what we are willing to contribute to the situation. I am willing to pay a bit more for uniqueness, and QUALITY. I will buy from the local business on that basis, and customer service that is real, versus non existent at most box stores today. However there is a realistic limitation to how much extra can go towards the mom and pop subsidies. Perhaps a combination of co-op purchasing for the smaller businesses, combined with smaller retail locations with a increase in their own online presence may be a possible solution.
This location like most brick and mortar locations just Lacks variety. It is a slowly dying business model at this time.... If a emergency transfusion of creativity does not take place soon, I feel that consumers will all to soon be destined for only cookie cutter box store merchants, average merchandise, and online web only fufilment centers for anything we as consumers may need, or want as we...
Read moreI come here almost daily and I gave only 2 stars because of certain things such as taco Bell $5 box a lot of times will forget to put at least one of the items you are supposed to get in the box. And so so many transients especially in the evening and at night especially in the Walmart parking lot. You can never come out of the store and get to your car without being targeted and ppl hurrying up to you and begging for money this is on a daily basis. Then yesterday my husband and kids went to Walmart (which is almost a daily thing for us) and the cell phone recycle machine in the front was having the money restocked and 2 transients on bicycles were at the front door blocking the entrance waiting a staring at the man filling the machine up with money as if they were going to try to rob him. The door greeter started next to the man to try to prevent it from happening which I think worked because as we were leaving the armored truck was at the second entrance and one of the guys circled around the parking lot like a volture eyeing the truck. It's getting more and more like that...
