Virginia's House — Attraction in Glendale

I was a guest at an event here. The venue is very nice, but the event planner seemed to lose her mind during the event. To be clear I was ONLY a guest with no involvement in planning or hosting and I have no children. Thus it was shocking to me that while I was grabbing a drink the woman came raving towards me to yell at me, YELL, about some toddlers messing with her plants. That has nothing to do with me! No introduction on who she was or anything just rage. So inappropriate. She then proceeded to physically grab another guest and yell at her to watch her children.

I understand that it might be frustrating for her, but 1. Keep your composure. Don't turn into a lunatic. 2. Say who you are before yelling at random guests (or better yet, don't yell at the guests). 3. I assume you have an event contact? Maybe talk to the person in charge of the event coordination before you start assaulting people. 4. If children are not welcome, be explicit about that and maybe people won't bring their toddlers.

A nice event was ruined because this lady doesn't know how to communicate properly.

I'd like to clarify that my reference to her inappropriate behavior was not about a speech impediment; of which I was unaware and didn't actually notice because she never took time to have an actual conversation with me. My complaint was specific to the literal YELLING at me while dragging a child across the venue when I was simply getting some water.

I appreciate the thorough response and agree that you would be well within your rights to charge the event holder for anything breaching the contract. I maintain that it was unprofessional and inappropriate to take up your complaints with a random guest and that grabbing someone you don't know is never the...

Our wedding guests loved this venue! What a hidden gem! The outdoor area was transformed; simply magical. Touring the site prior to booking didn’t do the space justice…it surpassed all visual expectations :) Do you want to de-stress your wedding planning? Natalie (owner and wedding coordinator extraordinaire) orchestrated so many moving parts of my daughter’s special day! I cannot thank her and her staff enough for the recommendations and help planning. So much is provided in terms of decor, linens, and so much more! Let Natalie help with your nuptials or any other party planning! She has thought of everything and was so available/accommodating. She also has vendors she can vouch for which we utilized gratefully! The ambience is Victorian-inspired and appeals to the most discerning tastes.

Last year, I was looking for a venue because the original place I reserved became unavailable due to Covid-19. I frantically called and emailed several venues, trying to inquire about a new place for our wedding. The Virginia's House was the only place kind enough to respond in a timely manner. The kindness didn't stop there! Natalie, from Virginia's House, was kind enough to respond to all my many questions, though she was very busy with other brides. She never made me feel I was a pest or unimportant. She quickly set up our consultation meeting and went over the pricing with me beforehand, as I requested. Natalie was amazing!! Though we didn't select Virginia's House as our venue, due to scheduling, etc, Natalie was a wonderful person to interact with. She was still sweet and kind when I told her it wouldn't work out for our particular needs. You will enjoy working with her! Natalie, thanks...
