Before reading my comment, I had high hopes about enjoying this restaurant. Including the reviews that were placed here. I'm not a big fan of mariscos but I love tempura sushi. So, my mom and I came during an afternoon, it looked empty so I gave them a call. Once answered, a Spanish speaking lady greeted me, I spoke in English assuming she knew English. Seconds later, I try to speak to her in Spanish but she just immediately grab someone else to assist me, but we spoke Spanish. Anyways, that wasn't an issue because I know many restaurants hire spanish speaking employees to accommodate costumers who speak spanish. When we found out it was open, we went in and we were greeted by their servers. The server sat us and told us their menu is on a QR code that you need to upload from your phone, which is understandable because of covid. The server was nice enough to figure it out for us, since we couldn't find the menu on the QR code. I ordered the El Dorado Roll, it was really good and requested by the server since I wasn't sure what I wanted. Then, my mother ordered the ribeye steak and lobster tail. When the food came to our table, I was disappointed of the ribeye steak and lobster tail plate. The ribeye was not a ribeye steak, it looked like a flat steak (plain carne asada) with a huge chunk of fat. In addition, it stated sauteed vegetables, what we actually was asparagus that was not cut from the ends. I explained to the server that these issues were unsatisfactory. She explained to me that the meat is delivered to the restaurant how it is. However, I explained about the asparagus, also told them if they have knifes in the kitchen to use to cut the asparagus properly, or is it delivered the same as the steak? When it was time to pay, the server was on the phone and I waved to her to give us the check. However, when she came to the table she had the phone over her ear as I was trying to speak to her. I asked if she was busy, she explained to me she was talking to her boss about hiring another hostess (which I could careless). If she was on the phone then another server could have given me the check. Finally when we receive the check it was approx. $92 for a tempura sushi roll, ribeye and lobster tail plate and cup a coffee. If you don't know what a ribeye steak is, Google it, it wasn't worth the 63$ for only the "ribeye steak" and lobster plate honestly. I've been to several restaurants before, that plate was disappointing. I know steaks that wasn't a ribeye steak. Thank you for the experience. NEVER ORDER THE RIBEYE STEAK AND LOBSTER...
Read moreThe service was half and half please let me explain my wide ordered a culichi Roll had no flavor initially we were surprised how fast the sushi roll came out but we figured it out we eat sushi all the time at different locations you can name it we have been there the sushi roll that was delivered was supposed to be a empanizado which means it's deep fried and should come to you hot that was not the case it was cold and thats not even the worst part sushi has 2 ends we discovered that our roll had a 3rd end (the culito) in the center meaning it was probably eaten off of and the rest was completed from another plate secondly when we mentioned the roll was cold the only offered to warm it up I can only imagine good establishments would just replace it no questions asked i ordered a shrimp alfredo which i get it's not the house special so I waited about 30 minutes for my food. Call my wife sat there with her cold sushi roll. Ultimately, we ended up sharing my pasta. I'm not saying that this place, it's all bad. The beer was cold. The environment was great. I remember when this place opened. Service was great food was immaculate. Obviously, as establishments create better reputations and get busier, I see some places lose quality. Like I said, if you wanna listen to music and drink cold beer, this is the place the food has gone downhill in conclusion when I got my bill, I did not want to pay for the sushi roll but my waiter just argue with me. I'm not going to argue over $20, but nowadays food is very expensive. Especially eating out restaurants should be more. Then capable to satisfy the customer's needs. Not just think about stuffing a few dollars in their pocket. I never really complain. Ed, I come from an upbringing that you get what's on your plate and that you eat it no. Questions asked no complaining, I know a lot of people can Relate, where I'm...
Read moreHorrible experience, it was my birthday dinner and these people talked me into buying a 70$ celebration table.. I had previously called to make a reservation, we get there and we still had to wait about 20 mins to be seated. The finally sat us at our table and took us about 35 mins to realize that everyone was being helped but us.. not even a basket of chips or anything.. I had to call a waitress and turns out they hadn’t even scheduled us a waitress. After another 15 mins of waiting someone finally showed up and brought out some chips and left.. another 20 mins go by and we don’t even have drinks ! I had to call the waitress again, after 1 hour 40 minutes WAITING! (Wish I was kidding) someone finally showed up to take our order (at this time two tables of multiple people had already been swerved and they got there after us. We ended up getting our food 2: Hours 30 mins LATER than the time we had arrived the restaurant was practically empty by then, we also had order more drinks since the food was taking long and the waitress never came back with our drinks and when I told another waitress for our drinks she immediately came back and took them. The package that they had offered us include table decor a “cake” (a slice that we didn’t even get! ) the happy birthday song played by the Banda at our table (which they also didn’t do) and a bottle of of mango din Julio) I’m honestly super mad because they ruined my entire night! And they still had the NERVEEE to charge us 18% gratuity! I’m sorry but I’m never coming back. They’re customer service just sucks, they definately had a preference to serve the “nicest looking, more money, older people type” because our table wasn’t given the right attention...
