This place is AMAZING. Mystery Train feels like it felt going into a record store in the late 80s. One of the last of a dying breed. I honestly wasn't sure places like this existed anymore. The store is huge, the selection ridiculously good, the prices excellent, and the staff are friendly. I can't wait to go back!
I have a want list that I keep on my phone and it's unusual for me to find more than 1 or 2 things from it (if I'm lucky) at any given store. I ended up finding many things from my list, some great jazz and prog LPs that I'd been hunting for some time, and paid much less than I expected. Next time I go I want to spend some more time going through the 45s and the CDs.
Also, a note for those wanting to shop during the pandemic, as I was: they enforce social distancing & mask wearing, and have hand sanitizer at many spots in the store. It's spacious and well-ventilated & I felt extremely safe shopping there....

But I love taking him here because they have a whole wall of free music that I like to peruse while my brother-in-law is looking for actually good music. So I just flipped through a bunch of records looking for fun covers or anything I actually heard of. I'm not a big music fan.
