Had tickets for beautiful on Mon July 24th. Planned much of our evening around the show, drove 45mins only to find out from some good people at grand lake lodge that the show was canceled 45mins before showtime . This was the 2nd cancelation (of 3) times I've tried to visit this venue with a 66% cancelation rate for us. I'm sure it's a lovely show when the staff isn't "sick" . Never the less we explored grand lake lodge which due to the shows cancelation we were able to spend more time at. So thank you rmrt for canceling within only 45mins notice. We rediscovered GLL. Another big disappointment from rmrt. Oh, and fortunately we were able to hustle back over to wp and watch barbie at the foundry theater. While probably not as sophisticated as Beautiful, it started on time.
Thanks for the prompt reply, look forward to a full refund and attending a theater that's a bit more reliable based on our experiences. Like I mentioned, barbie certainly wasn't the level of theatrical sophistication, but it was entertaining and didn't cancel. The show must (not) go on.......

Unfortunately, we were bombarded by the use of language that was entirely inappropriate and did absolutely nothing to enhance the storyline. This is definitely not a play for anyone who does not want to hear a steady stream of inappropriate language. Also, the dancing alone is enough to make decent people feel very uncomfortable. You definitely don't want to bring your children to this play. A very disappointing way to end an otherwise great vacation in the...
Read moreThe shows are always well acted. The seats are fairly comfortable for two plus hours of watching plays and there's not a bad seat in the house for views of the stage. The new theatre allows them to do more elaborate and larger shows than the stage in the Community House did. What they can do with set pieces now is incredible. The staff and community volunteers that run concessions and ushering guests are always cheerful and friendly. Most seasons my wife and I watch two or three of the three show repertory and often add the fourth fall show. We love this place so much we helped sponsor the new theatre. We'll be coming back for many...
