All I can say is wow. Took my wife, 14 year old stepson and his friend. Atmosphere as we walked in, appeared cool. Pizza is average. We sat down and proceeded to wait for 15 minutes before I flagged the bartender down, which is also the only front of the house person working. He came over and apologized stating he was the only one working besides the cook. A lot of tables were not cleaned off, while a lot of people were waiting. Phone was ringing off the hook. They promote a game room upstairs so we sent the boys up to wait out what we suspected was going to be a long wait. Boys came back laughing that none of the Games worked and they lost the quarters we providedā¦we did not bother the only person working. As boys arrived back at table the entire place jumped and looked at each other upon hearing the cook SCREAM āNO MORE ORDERSāā¦this was approx 7:20pm. We eventually got our drinks. We eventually got our salad. We eventually got our pizza was again, average. As new people walked in patrons were telling them to leave. The front house person just started telling people kitchen was closed. A very nice couple started cleaning up the tables that had been left dirty. Until this place gets employees and a cook that doesnāt threaten to walk out when things get busy in this tourist...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTHAT CRUST!!! Ok, now that I have your attention... more on that crust later. We stopped in Grand Lake to grab some lunch after a long hike nearby. I was struck by the saddle bar stools and quickly hopped onto one to sit at the bar. My companion was not as excited, so we ended up at a high bar table nearby instead. We ordered some beers and a pizza to share. We opted for a mushroom and elk sausage pizza. It was really great. That crust is so darn good. Chewy, crusty and flavorful! It paired really well with my stout beer. One thing to note is that the pizza did give a stomach ache later in the day. That was a real bummer and I would probably go back again to try more of their interesting toppings. Thinking of the bar, I don't think they had tap beer. It seems that they offered bottled beer and mixed cocktails only. I may be wrong about that though. They have an extensive game room upstairs for the kid at heart. Lots of seating at the rear for larger groups too.
A weird side note though: I kept having the feeling that I was being watched by all of the taxidermy on the walls. And I felt as though I should have shared the pizza...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI m sorry but Ive been trying to hold my review for a while, but it truly keeps bothering me. I ordered here a while back for a pick up order. I ordered 2 pizzas and 2 salads. $93. If you order pick up from here, make sure you check it before leaving, cuz I truly wish I did. Crust was burnt to a crisp on the edges, to the point you could barely bite into it. The salads were mediocre at best, and blue cheese dressing was separated and unusable. Will never eat here again, and wouldn't recommend this place to anybody.
Edit: how are you going to say it's not accurate? Did you eat the burnt, rock hard pizza and have to throw it away? Did you pay the bill? I've got a $103 bank statement from your organization (or should I say grumpys) that says otherwise (obviously left a tip for the gentleman that handed me my food). I was seriously expecting great pizza for that price, but man, that meal was filled with disappointment. There were no inaccuracies with my review, though I will admit. Truth hurts sometimes. Maybe instead of calling your patrons a liar, maybe try to improve. Yet one more reason I'll never be visiting your...
