If I could give this store a ZERO I would! I would not advise ANYONE to shop here! I believe they do NOT care about their customers! Not one bit! I purchased a game a week ago not knowing the game was defective. I went home and it did not work. I went back to the store the very next morning to return it for another copy. Upon inspecting the game, the associate Chris stated that the game should have never been sold because it was damaged. I asked for a refund (they do not honor refunds under any circumstances). Because of this, I asked for a replacement. They only had one copy of the game. I was told by Elizabeth (another manager) that I would have to wait another 3 days to get the replacement game since it was at their Cleburne location and I would get a call when it’s ready to be picked up. Well to make a long story short, no one ever called me! I called and spoke with Chris and his attitude was HORRIBLE. He acted as if he did not care that I had spent my money on a game I did not have. He was very rude and had a very sarcastic attitude. He stated he would contact Kayla (area manager) and call me back. He never did. After asking to speak with a manager he refused to give me any information and said that the store manager Paul was on vacation. After calling and complaining I was finally able to speak with Kayla and she said the game “may” arrive on Friday. She too acted as if she did not care because it took days to hear from her. She told me that she had to deliver the game to the GP store and did not know she was supposed to do so which is why it didn’t arrive when expected. No one ever told her that the game should be delivered. (According to Kayla). Today is Saturday and I’m just now getting a game I paid for a week ago after calling and complaining. Oh and might I add, this company failed to do much of anything for the inconvenience. (They gave me a $2.00 store credit. Not joking. Can upload receipt). I was obviously annoyed and spoke with Paul the store manager about my experiences with Chris and he stated “I’m only a glorified babysitter. I can’t control the people who work here”. As I was speaking with Paul Chris overheard my complaints and jumped into the conversation. He became extremely disrespectful and even made a threat towards me stating he has a “bad temper” while walking towards me. I will be filing a report. I asked Paul to have him go in the back so we could talk. As a manager Paul stated he cannot control Chris with a smirk on his face. Paul had no control and him and Chris were both extremely disrespectful to a woman! I left with a number to corporate and will be calling them. I experienced nothing but poor customer service, bad quality games, a manager who can’t control his store, out of control workers shop here. I would advise everyone to shop at Game Stop! Anywhere...
Read moreI have nothing but good things to say, and here is why:
The staff is energetic, friendly, polite, highly knowledgeable, and resourceful. Because of how outstanding the customer service was during my first visit, I returned a second time two days later. Once again, I was delighted to meet another employee that matched my previous visit's energy, and I was warmly welcomed! From the start to the end of my visit, I felt I had the utmost importance as their customer. Note that other clients who walked in were warmly welcomed despite the higher influx of customers.
I was ecstatic that the store offers much more than video games. I was overwhelmed with memories growing up upon viewing all the DVDs, posters, and comic books. There is so much to see at Game Xchange regarding various products.
On another bright note, the store is extremely well organized! I own several gaming consoles, so I love how easy it is to shuffle through all the categorized video games. The store also has a glass box at the register/pay station, which holds an assortment worth checking out before paying. I felt like a kid in a candy store, aside from the fact that the store also has candy for sale. For example, I adore the Mario Mushroom candies that looked so cute. The store also sells t-shirts, which I found pretty sweet too.
On a final note, even though I could rant on with nothing but greatness from this Game Xchange location, all my products - so far - work flawlessly. I love knowing I have a FREE 90-day warranty to test all my products. Please note that the store cannot refund cash value; however, store credit will be the return payment method. KEEP YOUR RECEIPT, and take a photo, so it lasts longer.
Yes, Game Xchange has minor differences from GameStop / other stores. However, take the time to read the receipt, listen to the cashier explain the store's policies before walking off, and/or ask questions as you make your purchase, and you will be golden. Crystal wonderfully explained it all during my first visit. This store location was upfront and presented no hidden agendas, which I love and respect.
With that said, I will gladly remain a loyal and enthusiastic customer of my GP store location. Major thanks to Crystal and Chris for assisting me. I wasn't the only customer in the store, but they made me feel like a one-of-a-kind customer.
Stop pondering on this location/store...
Read moreThe upper echelon must severely pressure their employees. I’ve been here twice to get a controller for two different consoles and twice I was unimpressed with the provided service. The first was a PS3 controller with intent to get pre owned but I wasn’t given a chance to pick a controller, instead they picked a controller with a missing thumb pad. I even asked for them to trade it out for a controller with all the thumb pads and I was told he was getting one from the back. In the end it was just a rubber add on meant to fit over a normal thumb pad and didn’t fit. So I told them it didn’t work right and they gave me a different controller the next day. My next visit was with the intent to purchase a NEW PS4 controller. This guy Kristofer (according to the receipt) kept pushing the pre owned and said the pre owns get a warranty for 90 days and that it looks practically brand new blah blah blah. I politely declined multiple times just to be met with a loud sigh as if I was being difficult. In the end it turns out NEW accessories ALSO get a 90 day review and as he explained that portion of check out he choked himself and sighed again as if he didn’t mean to mention it. My experience so far is that they push off what THEY want to sell and not what the CUSTOMER wants to buy. I feel as though I was treated roughly with their customer service because they are too aggressive with their...
