Rocking Crab Seafood & Teriyaki — Restaurant in Grand Prairie

SO... I'm normally not the type to leave reviews unless something hits me negatively or positively (feel free to look at my past ones). But this place left such a good impression I absolutely HAD to drop a few words. First off, I'm a seafood lover through and through. I love crab, mussels, shrimp,etc. You name it. I've been to every seafood/crab joint in the Grand Prairie/Arlington area. I've seen seafood raise in prices, and continue to get higher. And the flavor/quality only goes down from their. But when I tell you this place is DECENTLY PRICED for what you get and ask for, as well as the servings you get. PSSSSHHHH! Go ahead and drop by this place because you'll be content with the servings, the pricing, and the flavor. I bought the Special 1 and BOIII WAS IT SPECIAL. I asked for it to be spicy and lo and behold, it had me SWEATIN'! Some places around here think spicy is adding some salt, but they got it down to a "T". The flavor was packing. The meal size was perfect for the price. And the packaging was a fantastic choice for it. I also ordered two cajun fried rice. Combination and craw fish. Was met with a serving size fit for a God! HUGE for a darn good pricing! Don't be dismayed by what others have written. Give this place a shot. You will enjoy the brand new service as well...

This is my second time trying this place. My first visit, We ordered the special #1 & #5. The only thing we were pleased with was the snow crab, corn, potatoes & rockin sauce. The shrimp & crawfish was so mushy and tasted old. Like it was sitting in old water for days. Huge disappointment & waste of money. So I decided to give it another try because the staff is SUPER friendly and the place is very clean and cozy inside. For my 2nd visit, I ordered the shrimp teriyaki noodles, noodles were delicious but again the darn shrimp was mushy and tasted horrible. SoI ate only the noodles. I think maybe they are using leftover shrimp from previous day(s). I picked up my order before 1pm and there is no excuse to have shrimp that is not fresh. Owner/Manager if you are reading this PLEASE make sure your establishment is providing fresh food at all times, my goodness this is seafood (we can get sick from this) and we're paying bucks for this food. I know the cost of food has gone up, but don't risk your customers and their health. In the future, I will give your place one more try because of the other reviews and friendly staff and I know your food has 5 star potential. I want to leave 5 stars, I love seafood c'mon no time...

I wanted to try a new seafood place and decided to give this faculty a try . I read the reviews first and must all were good. I ordered the special 1 with the rocking sauce and a cup of gumbo. Let me tell you, it was so good I was making a mess eating it! Unlike the other reviews, the sauce dud not taste like tomato sauce and it was spicy just the way I like it and yes the shrimp were deveined. When leaving we got a to go container for the gumbo and rice. My husband put the rice in first then the gumbo on top. The manager came to ask how we were doing and saw how my husband packed the leftover soup. He said oh that’s wrong, I says why and he said the rice will absorb all the liquid from the soup and you won’t have soup. He said to give him a few minutes and he would fix it. He totally made us a new batch of rice putting it in a box and a whole new container of gumbo! It was so nice of him to do that and spoke volumes of how he cared about his food and customers!!
