I ordered the crab rangoon sandwich....there was NOTHING rangoon about it. It's served cold with mayonnaise not cream cheese, was supposed to have scallions on it but didn't. I was told they were out of fries, so I asked what I could get instead, I was told chips. I asked if I could get anything else and was told no only chips. The manager took my plate and never offered Mr a replacement or something different. 20 minutes later the server cones by and asks if we want dessert. I ordered the creme brulee, as I was told the cookies and milk Are made fresh to order and would take fifteen to twenty minutes. Since I had already sat there and watched my friend. Eat their entire dinner and waited 20 minutes to be even asked if I wanted anything. I didn't wanna wait another twenty minutes. So I ordered the creme brulee. The table next to us ordered dessert at the exact same time. We did. They ordered the cookies and milk which came out before my creme brulee. So much for not wanting to wait another 20 minutes. Thr flavor was amazing but the custard wasn't set, it was very runny. When they FINALLY came with the bill, they acted like they did me this big extreme favor by comping a sandwich that I didn't eat. I did appreciate the free dessert . It was Sunday night they weren't super busy and we were there over 2 hours for a sandwich, a sampler...

This place is probably going to settle into who they are as times goes along. The menu and food quality is at least average, nothing to get too thrilled over. The chicken sandwich and burger are above average. I wouldn't knock the food. It's at least an average option for Grand Rapids.
At least for now, as a new place, Silva is already giving off that vibe of a place that's more for the employees than the customer. The founder sat next to me at the bar, and he and his fellow employees were drinking while watching a game. The founder consistently yelled across the bar to get the attention of his employee. It was not pleasant. Felt like I was in a dive neighborhood bar somewhere. I suppose maybe the staff is stoked at being "the hot new place," but that incident is illustrative of what appears to be a place that will evolve into a loud, obnoxious neighborhood bar with regulars. If that's your thing, and there is nothing wrong with that, this is your place. I'm not into that atmosphere, but YMMV.
I would probably go 3.5 stars. This is worth a visit, just be prepared for slower than normal service and the loudness and jocularity of staff interested more in how much fun they're having...
Read moreFirst off, very cool vibes in here. Love the lighting and theme of the restaurant with the pool table and darts being a very nice addition. I normally don’t write reviews but since this place is so new I figured I would give some feedback. We did go on Valentine’s Day so it was a little busier but service was still fast, so fast our food actually came out before our drinks, not always what you want but we were hungry so no complaints. My girlfriend got the rib tips, 10/10 delicious, i got the chicken sandwich and I am a huge chicken Sammy enthusiast and didn’t really care for this one, they used popcorn chicken on an $18 sandwich, a little disappointing. Fries were seasoned well but not crispy enough. And a small side plate of carrots was yummy but overpriced to $12. Lastly the cocktail we ordered was very strong which depending on who’s drinking it could be a good or bad thing but just something to note. Overall we enjoyed it, but will probably be waiting until they open up more of the restaurant to come back. We liked it more for the drinks/appetizers and then go play some games versus a...
