Be advised this venue caters mostly if not entirely to weddings.

Communication with the venue is great, but unfortunately according to policies put in place by financial managers don't bother trying to book an event here in advance. I reached out to see about reserving the space for a grad celebration 12 months in advance as venues around Morgantown often book up fast on WVU commencement weekend, however was told I would have to wait at least 4-6 months to contract. What am I supposed to camp outside their office and hope I am the first in line to receive the contract?

Creates extreme uncertainty when trying to plan an event and coordinate with other vendors. Don't bother reaching out unless you are booking for a wedding, as it seems they prioritize the large contracts and couldn't care less about...

My husband and I were one of the first couples to book a wedding at the Silo. We loved it so much from the start that we booked our date 17 months in advance! We got married the second weekend of October, and it was an absolute dream come true. The Silo had plenty of decor package offerings, but also was open to giving us the creative freedom to supply our own, which we did. We also loved the flexibility of providing our own catering, and the Silo had ample space for a food truck! The location was easy for our 70 guests to get to, even during a home WVU football game weekend. I had my daughter’s first birthday here and it was absolutely perfect! After inquiring about booking the venue, a walk through tour was promptly scheduled to ensure the venue had all of the things I was looking for. We had a thorough meeting on what would be supplied and what I would be responsible for bringing. The venue is gorgeous and the coordinator, Alyssa, was so sweet, accommodating and helpful! You can manage all of your booking through their online portal and it makes it SO easy to keep track of everything and contact Alyssa, who was punctual with every single reply.
