Krepps Pool — Local services in Morgantown

We’ve been here for over 10+ years in the surrounding area, Fairmont, and have never been to this pool until 2020! We had such a blast and loved the staff as well.

One thing I will say that upset me (because I was looking for a needed a day off with my family to relieve stress and had planned the day for us) was when we arrived we realized there was absolutely no tables or seating for all of the cute and yummy food I prepared for out hours of pool fun 😞

Lastly, there was no place to buy food or drinks either.

Both of these things I feel are very easy fixes, even on the budget side of things. Especially if you care about your customer and understand what an ideal day at the pool would look like for them. So I would really love to see some effort towards that direction for me to consider it as my first go-to option in the summer. These are the reasons I would be least likely to go there when considering a pool to go to or party to plan. I will say though, that the park aspect is so beautiful and awesome to say the least! I love how it’s set up and shaded. My kids and I have always gone their for the last several years, especially when we use to live in Morgantown. It just feels private and peaceful, even when there is a many people.

However, I don’t think Krepps pool struggles very much financially over the summer so there really doesn’t seem to be a financial need for them to make these changes mentioned. No matter how ideal they would be.

But...

Really awesome community pool! I take my 2 year old son here and say in the kids pool area and he loves it. There is a really cool pirate ship that he can climb on and then take the slide down to the bottom. He absolutely has a blast! There are also some pipes with water coming out of them for him to play in and some fish hanging that dump water every so often that he loves. There is plenty of grassy area to lay a towel down and chill while there. My only suggestion would be to have a little more shade in the grassy area. Since I was a child and my father made certain a swimming pool was made available for public, this was my summer home. My stair stepped 3 brothers ahead of me played baseball here on both A and B leagues!! Grest family place to visit, hike or even a family reunion!! Playgrounds have been upgraded and some of the safest I have ever visited. Educational hike is available and so much more to learn about nature and trees (labeled). Pool is clean and very active during the summertime!! LOVE THIS PLACE...
