I like the Bargain Outlet. Whenever I am in Grass Valley, I make it a point to stop by and take a look to see if there are any tools or used equipment I can't live without. When I enter a small owner operated store, I make it a point to greet whoever is nearby. In this case, I entered the sore around 2:45. Just to the right is the sales and office area. Today I walked in and looked to my right to see a youngish man with his head in a book. He never looked up. I have experienced this several times with this individual. I did not greet him since I'm pretty sure he heard me enter but could not be bothered to look up and say hello. Doing so is the Hallmark of good customer service. There were two other customers in the store. He only talked to one that wanted to sell him something. He never asked me or the other customers if we needed help finding something. If he was my employee and failed to acknowledge customers without good reason I'd tell him to hit the bricks. I like the store but I can do without it. Harbor Freight has much of the same inventory. It may seem that I am making a mountain out of a molehill but America is experiencing an unprecedented level of rudeness and disrespect twords others these days. I sure don't need it from a small...
Read moreA family owned business that is one of a kind in town. With a mix of new & used products it's really my 1st stop for my needs. Lots of choices of inexpensive & quality needs. Tools, tarps, gardening, video games, stereo equipment, painting makes this store my Disneyland of retail store's for men & women the same. Any defective merchandise I've had was exchanged with store credit or my money back with zero hassle. I've purchased many items & have no complaints on their quality & durability. Everyone wants both quality & quantity for their dollar- here you leave with both feeling good. I am a faithful customer & appreciate the family & how they are consistent with their inventory & their ongoing approach to keep up the...
Read moreI needed a four inch hole saw for a one off home repair. Went to our local lumber yard and nearly threw up when I saw the price. As usual, I dropped into the Bargan Barn. You have to look, but I found a used, four inch hole saw that fits the arbour I already have for $35.00 less than the local lumber yard! It is my first stop for cargo straps, tarps and yard tools. New and used. Usually find what tools I need for the odd jobs that owning a 70+ year old house and some property throws my way. Lots of cool antique tools, as well. Bargain Barn is a real treasure in...
