I had such a wonderful experience in your town today! Noticed that a lot of people were parking and walking as we drove into town, so we decided to park right next to the Painted Bear shop! We got lucky and even parked in the shade, right by the creek bed! So as soon as I got out of the car I could hear the water flowing, and it did my 'country girl living in the city for now' soul so much good. Walked over to the lake and spent about an hour checking out the super cool multicolored art installation in the air over the water, so pretty!! The fountain in the middle of the pond really made my pictures fantastic and also added so much to my personal experience! Your gazebo island is mega cute, keep keeping that up!

There was a note that the gazebo space had been reserved a wedding event the day before, and that made me want to find a reason to reserve the gazebo for my own future events as well!

Checked out a couple of the art installations around town. So nifty!

I absolutely loved the people and the items at Stone bones and Wood Gallery! Wow. What a beautiful array of items they have, I bought a gorgeous leather bracelet with lotus flower charms on it, made by the wife of the owner guy that I spoke to at the counter. I love this new bracelet so much! Next time I will buy local honey from their shelves, and one of the pieces of carved wood vessels that they had on display.

After we looked at more sculptures and art around town, we went back to the painted bear and I bought a hand carved wooden dish that was made by our local resident. The shop owner at The Painted Bear was a delight, I really enjoyed talking with her and I appreciated how much local art was in her shop! Your community was lovely in so many ways. Can't wait to bring friends and family there to adventure...

Serene. Peaceful. Calming. There's something deeply satisfying in sitting along this little pond on one of the many well-placed benches and simply enjoying the awe-inspiring grandeur of the mountains above and this perfect little park below. We sat and took it all in for an hour and somehow left feeling restored, peaceful, and whole just for the opportunity to be here. It was as though we had been invited in to partake of something spiritual, something ancient, something majestic, even in its simplicity. We encourage you to build this soul-enriching experience into your own itinerary. Plan an hour or two just to "be" here and in awesome wonder consider all the magnificence of the beautiful creation that...

Such a surprising gift of scenery just as we diverted from our road on I-25! We truly enjoyed the welcoming neighborhood and the pond’s atmosphere with a gazebo, playground with sand pool, the misty arch, and the art workshops just by the pond.

Especially the view of the mountains were amazingly peaceful and beautiful.

Even the geese were calm and pretty. We had a small fishing experience and...

If you’re in the Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs area, consider a quick trip to Green Mountain Falls to check out this cool art installation. If you have kids, there is a cute playground beside the pond. Located 20 min west of downtown CS, “Off the Beaten Path is a 6,000 square foot art piece that hangs over the towns Gazebo Pond. Made from 35,000 piece of kite fabric, it will be on display until October. Made by Patrick Shearn and Poetic Kinetics, it was inspired by the murmuration of birds and schools of fish moving together as one unit. The artist said in local publications, “I'm interested in all these pieces emulating or amplifying nature, where you can see what the wind is doing as it wraps around a building and comes up against the artwork, and all of a sudden everything becomes a different scale. You're aware of the symphonic motion of wind through an environment we're not really present to when we're walking down the street. It brings you into a different relationship with your environment and the universe.”
