I am severally disappointed in most of the Habitat Restores in the Palm Beach area. I have noticed the past few times I have gone to any Habitat Restore the employees use google lens to determine prices (right in front of me) and tend to price as if the items are in a boutique store already. Most items in these stores tend to need some level of restoration. I understand they are a not for profit and the proceeds go to a good cause but asking $375-$500 for a 30 year old dresser (for example) that needs refinishing because they saw one for sale on Etsy or some other site is not how a thrift store should operate. Thrift stores are also meant to help members of the community have access to affordable items and at these price points I don’t believe this organization is doing that. This, I find, is the most disappointing thing about how these stores operate especially since they receive all items free through donations. I hope they learn from what happened to Goodwill and their recent issues...
Read moreDo not donate anything to this company or have anything to do with them, if you can even call them that. They are the worst operation imaginable! Do not waste your time, as they have no respect for you at all. In the end the workers and drivers especially will humiliate you and do nothing for you!
I had a pick-up confirmed for valuable items worth more than $10,000 that I wanted to donate & especially help Habitat For Humanity who are a joke and the drivers came and put me in the middle of a battle between them and the stores they work for and were telling the stores that they will not take anything from me. Everything was already confirmed and written up for donation and pick-up by Liz in the Delray Beach store and the drivers make their own rules and humiliate you. I had to finally ask them to leave.
DO NOT CALL OR DONATE TO THIS HORRIBLE STORE FOR ANY REASON...
Read morePrices are ridiculously high. At least make it match the quality of the product. A used item that needs repair is priced nearly the same as a brand new one , if not more. Specially the painings and mirrors! Also, customer service is either a hit or miss. I'm not asking to be greeted and helped around, but at least check out should be better since it's the only thing your employees provide. I stood on the cashier counter two days ago for good 10 minutes while the two females behind the desk were sorting stuff and chatting. She looked me in the eye 3 times and continued to do so, then lastly she was like ..are you checking out!! What do you think? I just like to stand here holding stuff? She didn't even put my stuff in a bag she just handed them back to me! So rude and unprofessional!...
