Being a loyal member since 1996, I used to feel there was a benefit to being a brother. Having donated my time as Santa twice, and the Easter Bunny once, I used to see upwards of 50 kids, now I see that it is down to about 12. I think that should tell you something about the atmosphere there. It stopped being family friendly, and has become the high school lunch table where the mean girls sit. A place I once felt welcomed as a Brother, I now feel as shunned as the flag girl. My son is now a member, and we travel across the country, visiting other lodges, greeted with smiles and welcomes, my wife doesn't even want to come in anymore because of the way we are treated, and here I always thought this was a family organization. I have been to every event, and gathering and always donated either raffle prizes, or food, and yet when I was sick and in the hospital for pneumonia, I never got so much as a get well card. I bring this to your attention, for I have begun to feel that this location is doing more to hurt the lodge, then help. Read moreThe people in-charge of the event were extremely nice, children had fun going trough Halloween decorated cars, motorcycles, and a fire department painted in pink (Women Breast Cancer Awareness). Free hotdogs, juice, and cupcakes for the children were welcomed by enthusiastic kids! The Moose Lodge sponsors and supports orphanages.
