First time here, I was hopeful but, sadly, I left empty handed and dissapointed. The ladies were very nice and the store is clean and well organized. Most of the clothing is very out of style but they had a few items I would have considered buying. It is a shame it is so wildly overpriced! No one goes to a thrift, not vintage, an actual plane thrift store to spend that much money on used dated items. Thrifting should be fun and affordable. The fun of a thrift store is finding affordable gems amongst the fashion slop on the racks. Unfortunately everytime you finally find something remotely decent here it is absurdly overpriced and just not even worth it. I'll buy new items for slightly more if I'm going to spend that much or I'll go to an appropriately priced thrift store and find some awesome guilt free scores for less. After leaving the store without ourchasing any items due to the prices I ended up checking the reviews as I was also leaving clothes to be looked at for purchase.
After seeing the many horrible reviews both of extremely low all buying, which was shocking considering how high they price any decent items, and worst the multiple reviews of customers feeling discrimination, I actually decided to just pull my items from the store and jist donate them elsewhere . I don't feel right supporting this establishment or condoning their possible behavior if there is any truth to...
Read moreI went to sell to this establishment and would like to share my experience because it seems like I’m not the only one who has experienced this issue. I am a person of color by the way. I walked in and was not greeted. Seconds later two white customers walked in and were greeted by the employee with a smile. One of the customers was also selling and was helped right away by a different employee when I had gotten there first. I waited to be acknowledged even though I felt like walking out. The employee Shannon who was helping the other customer who go there after me finally came over. When it was time to give her my ID she didn’t say one word, she just reached out her hand expecting me to give her my ID. I believe this could have been handled differently especially since you are working a job where customer service is a must. I felt discriminated and it’s not the first time I feel like this at this establishment, but this recent experience has to be the worst. Yes people have bad days but that does not mean you should forget about customer service. Customers are supposed to feel welcomed at all times. How else do you want to make business when you have employees that act like this? It’s not hard to smile or greet customers. I will say Jen is always very kind and welcoming and I feel like the other employees should...
Read moreI love the way the store is organized, and there are 3 really nice ladies who are nice. The selection is wonderful, and the prices are good. There are 3 women associates who are not so nice, however, and one of them really did not want to speak to me when I walked in today. She said "You got your ID," as soon as I walked in the door, no "Hi!, Welcome!'l or anything. As far as buying, I don't believe they are consistent with their choices. They say the same things every time when they don't buy things, "Pet hair, stains, wearing," etc. and I am meticulous with not only laundering, lint-rolling, pressing and folding everything before I take it in, so I find that bottled, generic remark to me to be condescending, particularly when no eye contact is made while saying it. Of course when one of the three nice women buys from me, they are always more personal and professional. Even my husband has noticed that there is a profound difference in the level of professionalism and courtesy among the staff there. He said "You know, it's really hit-or-miss in here. Last week they treated you like family, and this week they barely acknowledged you, yet you bought something both times!" At any rate, it's still my favorite store and I tell everyone I know about it. There's many more positives than...
