Roper Mountain Science Center is truly a spectacular destination that goes beyond entertaining kids; it inspires a profound understanding of our planet and the universe. The center plays a vital role in instilling ecological values in the younger generation from an early age, ensuring the sustainability of our species and minimizing the impact on our precious planet for the enjoyment of future generations.

The immersive experiences at Roper Mountain Science Center not only captivate the imagination of children but also foster a deep appreciation for the environment. The interactive exhibits and educational programs create a perfect environment for young minds to explore the wonders of science. It's heartening to see an institution that recognizes the importance of introducing children to ecological concepts, setting the stage for a lifelong commitment to environmental stewardship.

As we navigate a world with increasing environmental challenges, Roper Mountain Science Center stands out as a beacon of hope. By encouraging children to connect with nature and understand the delicate balance of our ecosystems, the center is contributing to the development of responsible global citizens.

Moreover, Roper Mountain Science Center serves as a catalyst for sparking interest in scientific knowledge. The diverse range of activities and exhibits not only entertains but also educates, motivating children to delve into scientific fields. It's an investment in the future, nurturing a generation of thinkers and problem-solvers who will play a crucial role in addressing the complex challenges...

This was my first visit to Friday Starry Nights and I've lived in Greenville for over 40 years. I was bringing two of my granddaughters that were visiting. When I went online to get reservations, the only viewing available was the 4:30 slot. Perhaps my expectations were unrealistic, not sure what I really expected. As the program began, the speaker was rushing around closing doors with a hand mik speaking to audience. While the narrator was very pleasant and obviously knowledgeable, it felt unprofessional. An upgraded mik/sound system might be helpful. I was expecting a more dramatic opening I think.

The information about our most familiar constellations was very interesting as the room transformed into a night sky. When the (too long) animated section featuring Orvill & Wilbur Wright began with the history of flight, I felt that this was dated and irrelevant to today as we are so far beyond the beginning of flight. I think it would have been more exciting and interesting to begin with America's early spacecrafts blasting off into space with NASA's technology at that time and actual footage and stero sound effects. This may be what we see in the other presentations which I hope to return to see as well.

Ending with the virtual rollarcoaster ride was fun! A very family friendly environment overall. I am very proud we have Roper Mtn. Science Center and all it offers to...

Roper Mountain Science Center: A Great Place to Learn and Have Fun

Rating: 5 stars

Review:

The Roper Mountain Science Center is a great place to learn and have fun for all ages. There are exhibits on everything from dinosaurs to space exploration, and the staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.

I recently visited the science center with my two young children, and they had a blast. They loved the dinosaur exhibit, where they could see life-size models of dinosaurs and learn about their different features. They also enjoyed the space exploration exhibit, where they could learn about the planets and stars and even try their hand at piloting a spaceship simulator.

The staff at the Roper Mountain Science Center is truly outstanding. They are always willing to answer questions and help visitors get the most out of their experience. On our visit, one of the staff members even took the time to show my children how to use a microscope.

I highly recommend the Roper Mountain Science Center to anyone looking for a fun and educational experience. It is a great place to learn about science and the world around us.

Conclusion:

The Roper Mountain Science Center is a wonderful place to visit with family or friends. The exhibits are informative and engaging, and the staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and...

Our membership to RMSC has without a doubt been one of the best decisions our family has made. When we first visited about 3 years ago, I honestly didn't expect too much. But by the time we left that day, we were and have continued to be annual members. As a homeschool family, it's been a great educational investment, but it's also been a place where our family has had a lot of fun and has made so many memories. I'm always impressed with the friendliness and dedication of the staff--you can tell they truly love and care about what they do. And I've always found the student volunteers to be well-trained, outgoing, and helpful, too. The facilities are very clean and well-maintained, and the variety of activities, exhibits, and events is excellent. But without a doubt, the Nature Exchange is our favorite and most frequented place on the mountain. Miss Anne and her staff go above and beyond to ignite the curiosity and wonder of the kids AND adults who visit the Nature Exchange. We have learned so much from Anne, and she has forever shaped the way my kids and I see & interact with the world around us. We are so grateful for RMSC! Please keep up the good work!

Was our times visiting this place and was not disappointed at all. Not a single moment there was "boring"! I definitely recommend visiting when they have the Afternoon Exploration. This place is for all ages! If it's your first time or maybe you're not very familiar with the science center, get a map! I was so thankful for the map! Also the website seems to come off as meaning groups rotate around to different classrooms and activities but the truth is it isn't like that at all. You actually pretty much have free range to an extent and you go to whatever phone or station that's associated with the afternoon exploration and you get to choose how long you're there and when you want to move on to the next one and which one that it is that you want next thing to be to do. I recommend at least coming out visiting this place one time and you will not be disappointed at all and the kids will absolutely love it!
