DXL Big + Tall — Local services in Greenville

I went to DXL yesterday, 17 October 2020. I am moving to a new position at work and as such was in need of a completely new wardrobe of business casual/professional attire. The store was pretty empty because of the Clemson game and the manager basically acted as a personal fashion consultant for the half hour I was there. He got my sizes and then walked around the store finding items that best fit what I was looking for. I walked in planning to spend around $500 and ended up leaving with about $750 worth of Shirts, shoes, socks and a belt. I’ll be back in the next month for more items. In the past I had usually focused on buying cheap clothes at Walmart or wherever I could find them, but the clothes at DXL fit much better, are of much better quality and the staff is very helpful.

If you are having a hard time finding properly fitting clothes at regular stores you should try DXL. There is a huge difference in comfortability and usage when you have clothes that are actually made for your size. The first items I ever bought at DXL In the past were socks. The socks are great. Having huge feet means that you grow up with socks that are way too small and the fit is just different when you get a proper pair. I visited this location today at 2:30 for a birthday gift. I am a regular customer who ALWAYS wears a mask into the store, but due to asthma I do occasionally pull my mask under my nose but I make sure I’m socially distanced from EVERYONE before I do so.

Today I had an $80 vineyard vines sweater in my hand, and was told I couldn’t make my purchase if my nose was uncovered but there was NOONE in the store but myself and the cashier. I have visited this location several times in the past few months and this has never been a problem & there have been multiple people in the store before that have had their whole mask pulled under their chins but nothing was said to them. As a small business owner myself I thought it would be great to continue supporting DXL in these hard times.

Anthony and Summer at this location are superb at what they do! My husband and I unwittingly came in literally at 1 minute to close on 12/30/18. Their holiday hours were still posted online, but you would have never known that it was closing time because they welcomed us in and Anthony took the time to measure my husband and tried several different suit jackets. Unfortunately due to timing (we needed the jacket for a New Years Eve party) and my husbands size not being in stock, we didn’t make a purchase. I will tell you that because of the warm way we were treated and helped even though we were “those customers” (my words) we will be shopping here going forward.
