Hey there, fellow outdoor enthusiasts! I recently embarked on an epic journey to Bass Pro Shops on Woodruff Road in Greenville, SC, and boy, let me tell ya, it was quite the experience! As an American dad, I couldn't resist sharing my thoughts on this bass-tastic paradise with y'all. So, grab your fishing gear and buckle up for a wild ride!
First things first, let me just say that Bass Pro Shops is like a playground for dads who love all things outdoorsy. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by an impressive display of fishing rods that make you weak in the knees. It's like a candy store, but instead of sweets, it's filled with all the tools you need to reel in the big one!
Now, let's talk about the staff. These guys and gals know their stuff! They're as friendly as a Labrador Retriever and as knowledgeable as a seasoned angler. They'll gladly chat with you about the best lures, the latest fishing techniques, or even share some fishing tales that'll make you say, "Holy mackerel!" It's like having your own personal fishing guide right there in the store.
But wait, there's more! Bass Pro Shops ain't just about fishing gear. They've got everything you need for your outdoor adventures, from hunting rifles to camping gear. It's a one-stop shop for dads who want to conquer the great outdoors with style. And let me tell ya, their camping section is so good, it'll make you want to pitch a tent right there in the store!
Now, let's dive into the dad jokes, shall we? Picture this: you're browsing through the fishing reels, and out of nowhere, a dad joke pops into your head. You can't resist sharing it with the closest unsuspecting shopper. "Hey, did you hear about the guy who invented the fishing reel? Yeah, it was quite the reel breakthrough!" Cue the groans and eye rolls, but deep down, you know you've made someone's day a little brighter.
But the real star of the show at Bass Pro Shops is the Bass Pro Pyramid. It's like a mini vacation destination right there in the store. You can take a stroll through the fish-filled aquariums, catch a glimpse of some majestic wildlife, or even grab a bite to eat at the restaurant. It's like a theme park for dads who love the great outdoors.
In conclusion, Bass Pro Shops on Woodruff Road in Greenville, SC, is a dad's dream come true. It's a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, a treasure trove of fishing gear, and a place where dad jokes reign supreme. So, whether you're a seasoned angler or just starting out, make sure to swing by Bass Pro Shops and let the adventure begin! Happy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFormerly "Cabellas" for years but is now branded as Bass Pro Shops. (However they are the same company and not much has changed aside from the name outside. Still a fantastic store for pretty much anything for fishing obviously, but hunting, shooting, camping, boats, watersports, archery, hiking, and lots of clothing of all types. Even if you aren't an outdoors person, it's interesting and somewhat of a museum also. All around are full sized reproductions of just about any outdoor animals with labels and information from small to very big bull moose. Also a huge aquarium is located along the back wall of the store with both freshwater and saltwater fish of all kinds, turtles, etc that are enjoyable to see up close. I personally could spend a couple hours looking around the massive store at all the items stocked. I only knocked off one star as the inventory can be quite pricey for anything of quality which I understand, and also for a few occasions of having to chase or wave down an associate. This seems to specifically be the case in the hunting/shooting department where some associates don't appear to be engaged with other customers, but chatting with other associates or looking at cell phones until I walked and asked if I could please have some kind of help. Almost a feeling of some associates hiding behind the counter idle and apparently not going to engage customers standing at the counter for help until the customer engages them. And also a couple instances of either an associate having a bad day, or obviously annoyed with being bothered. I totally would understand if they were busy with other patrons, stocking, or on some sort of obvious work task. But the coldness in that section and sometimes almost actively avoiding patrons when idle chit chatting or looking at cell phones didn't leave the best impression on me. All other areas have helpful and engaging associates, and maybe it's just because they are behind a counter or just a bad day. I think some room for improvement is definitely present in the shooting/firearms department personally. But only that, and the rest of the store...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have delayed writing a post on multiple occasions because I didnāt want to knock the workers or the management that run Cabelas in Greenville just for one bad experience. At this point there have just been too many things that are consistently bad that people should know about this store. In the last couple years I have made at least 10 purchases in this store and nearly every single one has had a price discrepancy. Iām very understanding and patient that these things happen but to happen that often is willful ignorance in marking prices correctly. Even that by itself isnāt the worst but on every occasion that I can remember not one cashier said anything close to āIām sorry for the inconvenienceā. Instead they role there eyes that the have to do a price check and call a manager. No manager has even acknowledged me as they come to change the price much less say āIām sorry for the discrepancy or thank you for your businessā. My last purchase was yesterday where I bought new carbon express arrows with nockturnal nocks. After buying the items (and correcting the cashier on both wrong prices) the arrow shop said it would take an hour before the get to them. No worries, I left my number and ran some errands. 2 hours go by and I call them and they are not ready. I said no worries Iāll go home and pick them up tomorrow since I now donāt have time to wait any longer. I call the next day, still not done but they will get them done by noon. I stop by at 1 pm and they hand me the box of arrows. I get home and they did not install the nocks that I purchased and said that they would. I call the archery department again and instead of apologizing they just told me well they are easy to install you can do it yourself. Which I totally agree, I can and I now will but they didnāt even apologize that I now have driven back and forth and wasted two day waiting for these arrow and will now have to drive back a third day. Cabelas has lost my completely lost my business as well as anyone else I hunt with. Their lack of professionalism and common courtesy will cost them a lot in...
