We were graciously greeted upon entering, but the wait was at least 30 minutes before being helped. When it was our turn, our salesman presented us with his sales pitch (which was fine) until he asked us why we were deciding to downsize from a king to a queen. Considering that these are sleep number mattresses, I commented that price was one reason, and second, we didn’t need such a big bed. We’ll, I lost him with my first reason. As he ran through the features of one of the mattresses we were considering, I immediately noticed his attitude had changed and it became apparent that his motivation for selling us a mattress declined. While my husband and I were talking over our options, he began helping another customer. To be fair, he did come back to us in a prompt manner, but it was rude for him to run off to help another customer, especially when the other salespeople dedicated their entire time to each customer they were helping. We definitely did not get the same attention and experience the other salespeople were giving to their customers. Made us feel as if he was prejudging us, and wasting his time. We decided to purchase a king rather than a queen only because we had recently purchased a complete king bedroom set. I would have asked for a different salesperson but it was busy that day and didn’t want to wait another 30+ minutes to speak with someone else. Read moreThe folks we spoke with at the store were delightful. They were kind, knowledgeable and personable. That said, in the past, we have not had the best experience with Sleep Number. We used to have a Sleep Number bed, but replaced it with a different kind, and will not go back. We were looking for pillows and decided to give theirs a try. One was soft, but when we laid on it, there was great support, so we purchased it. However, the one we purchased is NOT the same as what we tried in the store. The one we have is so thick, we can't sleep on it. Our spinal alignment is way off. The other pillow we bought is the one with the air valve. The first night I had it, I tried to open the valve to press some air out, so it wouldn't be so high. It had worked fine in the store. At home, with this new one, the air valve came completely out in my hand! I got it back in, but every time I squeezed out some air and closed the valve, it didn't stay that way. It slowly filled back up, to the point I woke up during the night with neck and shoulder pain. I had to switch it for an old pillow. We'll see how the in-home trial goes. Read moreSales are good but service and delivery needs a lot of work. These are expensive beds but customers are not getting quality service and delivery after the sale. I bought one. Waited over a month for delivery and only received part of my order because it was discovered that the base was broken upon delivery. Since I had already gotten rid of my old bed I been sleeping on the mattress on the floor. They promised to get me a base right away. It has been over a week now and no base. They were previously scheduled to deliver a base earlier this week but sent a text message the day of just 2hrs after an earlier text confirming the time. So now it is going to be another week and a half. This is totally unacceptable service. Do not bother to call customer care. I already did they were supposed to check on getting delivery sooner and call back. I am still waiting on that call. I am a very unsatisfied customer. How could anyone get a good night's sleep under these conditions? NO mattress can help that. Just want to wake up and put my feet on floor. That's hard to do when you are already on the floor.
