I’ll start off saying the food was good even though I ordered something I don’t generally like, but wanted to give my taste buds a chance to grow up. Got the crab cake Benedict and I’m not big on seafood but have been trying it more lately and it’s been hit and miss. That said, as something I don’t generally like, I say it was good.
Service was good but one comment made me almost leave. We walked in about 1:20 knowing it closes at 2. Figured 40 minutes wouldn’t be too rude of us. We have never been here before and decided to try it as a birthday breakfast for the boyfriend. We look over the to go menus at the front while we waited for someone to come out the back and seat us. Get our drinks. Waitress asked if we were ready, I looked at both sides of the menu quickly trying to decide between 2 items quickly and said “I think so.” The reply was “well we do close at 2 so let’s try to get this party started.”
I contemplated saying “I’m sorry, since it is an inconvenience we can go someplace that’s open longer. My apologies.” But decided to not be rude or cause any problems. One of the items we ordered didn’t come out with our food, and at 2pm on the dot we were waiting on our check. We also had to get silverware and creamer from other tables ourselves because we didn’t have any. I asked about the item we were missing and was told they would give it to us to go, I said if they didn’t have any ready and had already cleaned up that it was ok and we didn’t need it. We did receive the item though. She was really polite the rest of the time but the comment about closing at 2 was very unwelcoming and made me not want to stay, plus we weren’t supplied the basics. I received a steak knife and a spoon with my grits so I even made sure to go with that so we wouldn’t take two rolls of silverware for only a fork, and made sure we were done and ready to leave by 2pm. As a life long food service worker, I understand both sides and wanted to be as considerate as we could, but also I would never imagine making the statement to a customer no matter what I...
Read moreI want to start this review off by saying the little bit of food that I was able to eat was delicious. Our waiter was very nice and did his job properly. Next I want to explain my one star rating. When we arrived we gave my number to the hostess we had a thirty minute wait (maybe a little more) then went back because I realized I didn't think my phone was getting text which is how they tell you the table is ready. I went up to the hostess table and explained that my phone wasn't receiving text and I wanted to make sure that we didn't miss our table. We didn't and there were two other tables ahead of us still. Flash forward to ten minutes later the other hostess (marrium? Blonde shorter younger female) called my name and made a comment about how they text me but we didn't come up but she guessed we could still be sat. So we were lead through the restaurant to a bar table passing several open boothes and several open tables (there were at least five people waiting but more than five tables clean) I asked if we could have a booth. She said they were already assigned. I politely mentioned that we have been waiting also and would like a booth. ( Why shouldn't matter but hard chairs hurt my broken back 👍) so she made us follow her back to the hostess stand to change our assigned table and rudely remarks to the other hostess that we want a booth. Takes us to our booth and then takes the silverware with her. After we ordered I received my banana foster pancakes with a giant beard hair (hopefully) on the side of the plate. My husband got up and found silverware because he was just sitting there with food and no one would stop for us. When my pancakes returned made a new I got about a third of the way through to find a SECOND HAIR. Listen guys. I just want to eat where people are kind to people and not rude for NO REASON. And I also expect to have one out of two plates of pancakes HAIR...

First of all, If you want quick seating of course right when they open is going to be your best bet. We always ordered to go because they were always packed and now we see WHY!!!!!!
The service was absolutely amazing! It was our very first time dining in and me and my best friend LOVVVVED IT!!!
Chasity is one of the managers and they did a great job checking in on our first time experience! Chasity even gifted us a courtesy batch of beignets and my did they deliver in taste. The beignets were so delicious!!!
Steve was our main waiter and he was very kind, attentive and aware. He asked before we did for really ANYTHING!!! And if we did ask for something he was quick to get it for us.
Now the part you’re really reading the review for lol 😂. The FOOD!!!! Oh my goodness, it taste better then ordering it because of course it was right from the kitchen to our table to our very happy bellies. My best friend ordered the Broken Egg Biscuit Sandwich w/ Irish coffee and they said it was worth the trip. I had the creole shrimp Benedict and I too agree the flavors were there and it was worth the trip! I also had a special request Moscow mule and Chasity made it themselves and it was absolutely mouthwatering good🤤!
Now to the chef and the cooks!!!!!- Thank you for all of your hard work back there. It is not lost on me that in order to run a well oiled machine you need one hell of a crew to help you do it. Thank you for taking the time to show up and show out at work. Your skills are not lost on those of us who truly appreciate not having to conjure up a delicious meal on our own when we absolutely just want a treat not created by ourselves. Your skills are appreciated! Thank you for serving us as well!*
Thank you again Chasity and Steve for such a great first visit we will definitely come back again!
Much love and I wish you and your team members...
