Midtown deli is such a nice hidden gem here in Greenville. When you have so many pizza, fast food, fine dining, and other restaurants it’s nice to have a good tasting deli store! I got the Hot Italian sandwich, which wasn’t too bad. The bread was a lot over toasted which made it a little burnt, but the layers of meat and cheese with mayo (that doesn’t not come in the sandwich ) made it combine so well. My recommendation would to offer an Italian sauce to it to make it really pop out.
Along with the Italian I also got the Philly Cheesesteak. Honestly I had a hard time thinking about anything negative to say about this Philly. It stayed hot the whole time I was eating it, the layered cheese on top of the chopped up steak was amazing. Also the blend of seasonings with mushroom and peppers went together so fine and perfectly that it made such a perfect sandwich. Every bite I got a hot piece of meat, cheese, and vegetables that made me want to up and order another one.
The service was very well, The lady at the front took care of me and actually gave me a pasta salad on the house for how big my order was (I also ordered three more sandwiches for people at work) which was very nice. The atmosphere it self was very chill and laid back. There wasn’t music or workers being too loud. It was just very calm and very chill. Definitely will be going here...
Read moreThis experience was perfection all the way! My hubby & I stopped in today while shopping in Greenville for lunch and were blown away.
They list it as "cozy" but actually, there's a lot of seating, which is great. Staff are very personable & friendly🙂 I had the grilled Ruben and my hubby had the Mexican, both with chips and pickle. We also each tried a cup of soup with my choice the beef vegetable and my hubby the chicken corn chowder.
My ruben was the perfect combination of buttery grilled rye bread filled with a hot, gooey concoction of tasty corned beed, melty swiss cheese, tangy dressing, and sauerkraut that lendied the perfect amount of acid to balance the whole sandwich. The vegetable beef soup was a nice mixture of baby limas, corn, tomatoes, beef, and broth that took me back to being a kid and getting homemade soups at the church festivals/bizarres. Truly was a hug for my souk today❤️❤️❤️
My hubby's choices were just as tasty & satisfying. His mexican was the great combination of soft, warm bun filled with spicy chorizo, ham, pickled jalapeños, provolone, and a spicy ranch Chipotle dipping sauce. His chicken corn chowder was delightfully creamy and filled with corn and corn flavor.
Absolutely look forward to visiting on a...
Read moreI can’t rate the food because after what happened to me at lunch today I lost my appetite for the rest of the day. I’m rating this restaurant based on the customer service and experience I had today. I would give this place zero stars if I could. I had a near death experience from choking on my sandwich. Choking where if it wasn’t for my friend hitting my back I would have died. The restaurant was full of people and no one helped expect for my friend who literally saved my life today and One lady that worked there in the back that did ask if I was okay and gave me a rag to use she was the ONLY person other than my friend to do anything or ask if I was okay. It was an extremely scary situation and embarrassing too. It’s sad that no one even tried to help but everyone stopped talking and stared. I will never come back here again because of the unfriendliness of the staff and their unwillingness to help someone choking. As well as anyone else who was there and...
