I wrote the following letter to CEO and to their info email:
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share my recent experience at Splash Kingdom in Greenville, TX on Sunday, June 16th. While I have always enjoyed visiting your park in the past, my most recent visit left me with some concerns that I believe are important to address.
On that day, I spent $241.17 (3 season passes and 1 daily pass with all day drink) to attend the park with my family. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find that there were no adults visibly working throughout the park except for the front entrance. This lack of adult supervision was concerning, especially in a family-oriented venue where safety and guest experience are paramount.
Furthermore, I encountered a situation where an individual wearing an inappropriate swimsuit for a family setting—specifically, a large lady in a t-strap bottom swimsuit—was observed in the wave pool. While I understand that swimsuit attire can vary, I believe it is essential for the park to maintain standards that ensure a comfortable environment for all guests, especially families with children.
Additionally, I observed operational issues on the Goose & Maverick tubes where there was no staff present to manage the flow of guests. There was the lifeguard at the end but never reached out to the guests to pass the tube. This led to a situation where guests were repeatedly taking tubes back up the ride, disregarding the queue of other guests waiting for their turn. This lack of oversight disrupted the orderly operation of the ride and negatively impacted the experience of those waiting in line.
Another thought would be to advertise to hold onto your original cup when you get refills for the $10 all day drink. My grandson went up to get refills and received a small white cup without a lid. Well that lasted about 10 minutes before someone kicked it over at the chairs under the canopy.
I appreciate the values and platform upon which your waterpark is based, and I recognize the efforts of the young staff members who were present. However, I believe there is a critical need for more adult supervision or managerial oversight to ensure that operational standards and guest expectations are consistently met.
I hope that my feedback can contribute to improving the overall experience at Splash Kingdom. I look forward to hearing from you regarding the steps that will be taken to address these concerns. Thank you for your attention to...
Read moreBeing new to the area and hearing about a Christian park, we excited to try out the park before committing a few hundred to season passes. So we attended the "largest swimming lesson." Where the guards tried very hard. The head guards told us to go buy our tickets and come back to the wave pool. We were directed to the wrong place twice. They had to get approval to let us out to buy the tickets. We buy the tickets, then they told us we couldn't get back in. People had left CHILDREN and wallets inside!! So they call around and finally, they scan our tickets and let us back in. To get back to our stuff to turn us around again. Where Juan Sanchez ensured me it was the only way they could know who paid - while standing way too close in my personal space. Seriously, you are worried that maybe 3 people didn't pay cause they were still in the wave pool area? So you are going to push 40 people out of the park? So then we get to go stand - DRIPPING wet, in the heat, waiting in line again, while they try to figure out what they are doing. This is the most poorly run, pathetically executed, there is no customer service. It was sad robots who actually said, "You should find some shade to stand." Where there is no shade? But if tried to ask what was happening, they literally looked at you blankly and couldn't say anything? The answer was to wait for 40more minutes for a second bag check and another scan of our tickets. It was VERY obvious that NO ONE knew what they were doing. Horrible lack of communication between park staff, guards and definitely customers. And NEVER have I see such poor customer service. Engaging with no less than 10 people to have ONE lone person say "I'm sorry" - Morgan Smith. But not before the blond bag check girl (who doesn't wear a name tag) "huff, harrumph, what is your problem?" Maybe wandering and standing in line for hours? "Not here, we only open at 11" Sorry you are so clueless as to what is happening at your park, but some of us have been here for hours. We will not not NOT be buying seasons passes, we NOT be coming...
Read moreMe and my 2 boys were at Splash Kingdom yesterday for the first time and we had the worst experience. It happened around 5:45pm when my boys decided to go on the purple slides before we leave. My youngest (5yo) picked the purple/white slide (see 1st picture) and I picked the purple/orange slide. The slides guard was a young girl with short hair. As I slid down before my youngest, I was waiting for him get down. It took him a while, I guess it's because of his light weight. I then finally saw him coming down the slide. And within a split second, he flew out to the side of the slide because a teenager was sliding down right behind him. It happened so quick that neither of us realized what really happened. Until the teenager got up and left like nothing happened. That's when I realized the teenager was sliding down RIGHT BEHIND my child. I was shocked. My child's ribs hit the side of the slide and started bleeding (see 2nd picture). I immediately took him to the first aid room and the nurse who was on break took care of him. I appreciate her help alot. I then asked to speak to the park's manager because this is unacceptable. The girl who was watching those slides had 1 job. Is to make sure everybody get down safely before letting the next one go. She clearly didn't do her job right. Well, we couldn't reach the manager because he wasn't in the office. So we talked to the guard manager on duty instead. He said he will have a talk with her and that's the end of the conversation. I hate to see my child getting hurt because somebody didn't do their job right. He's only 5yo. He could have hit his head or gotten his ribs broken. I'll definitely take hin to the doctor to get checked. I was so upset but also had to make sure the guard manager do have a serious talk with that female guard because I don't want any other kids to go through the same thing as my son. But who knows if he did or not. I really hope it won't happen again to anyone. My kids love that park so much since it's the only water park in town but we don't feel safe going...
