I went to Popeyes in Greenville, Tx for the first time since it’s been open. My experience wasn’t that great, First of all no one greeted me at the door to show that appreciated my business...I stood at the counter for 10 minutes before the guy who was preparing a drive through order turned around to take my order. I noticed that the guy who was taking my order who was about 20 years old and Hispanic had gloves on at the cash register. I thought to myself no biggie as long as he changes them before he touches anything in the meal prep area. He took my order than and I asked do you all give a military discount. He said no we don’t at this store...sorry about that. I paid for the order and I noticed that the guy is walking around the meal prep area touching everything with those same gloves that he just handled dirty money with. I called him to the counter and I said politely, can you change your gloves please because you just handled money and now you are preparing food with those same gloves. He went on to say that I was going to change my gloves and wash my hands...I said but you already touched everything with those dirty gloves...he said I know but it doesn’t matter because we don’t touch the food anyways we use utensils.. I said I know you use utensils but your hands still touch the food. I’m thinking everybody knows that they touch our boxes, the paper in the box, the containers with sides and those things get placed in our bags or a box that touches our food. Now mind you he is the only one working that day who has gloves on. So I believe it is his practice to leave gloves on all day without changing them ,point and case he didn’t see the problem in what he was doing which everyone in the food industry knows that is unsanitary but him. My take away from this whole experience is Popeyes doesn’t respect the uniform veterans wore to protect this country and nor do they train their employees adequately on sanitation and hospitality. You will not be getting anymore of...
Read moreDuring a recent road trip with my family, we stopped at Popeyes to order an 8-piece dark chicken (half original, half spicy) and a chicken sandwich meal. When placing the order, the cashier informed us it would take 12 minutes for the original and 15 minutes for the spicy, which we were comfortable with.
However, after waiting for over 30 minutes, I began to feel frustrated and concerned because I value clear communication and efficiency, especially when managing time on a road trip. I approached the counter to check on the status of our order and was informed that additional time would still be needed. At that moment, I expressed that the delay had been significant—long enough for the sun to set—which reflected my growing impatience and the impact on our travel plans.
As a Veteran of the United States Army, I’m accustomed to environments where respect, accountability, and responsiveness are prioritized. Wanting to address my concerns constructively, I politely requested a refund and asked to speak with the manager. I was informed that the manager would call me the following morning. When I asked for the corporate office’s contact information, another staff member suggested I search for it on Google. This response left me feeling unheard and unsupported because I had hoped for more direct assistance.
Additionally, I noticed that after my request, the staff stopped working and engaged in a conversation in a language I didn’t understand. This added to my confusion and discomfort because I value transparency and clarity in interactions, especially when trying to resolve a concern.
My intention in sharing this is to express my unmet needs for timely service, respectful communication, and accountability. I would appreciate a response that acknowledges these concerns and provides clarity on how such situations are handled to support customer...
