Waffle House — Restaurant in Greenville

Let’s face it, #1, It’s a Waffle House, #2, If you came here looking for some type of “Fine Dining” experience, you are at the wrong place. #3, Over the years I can’t count the number of times that the glowing yellow squares saved me from starvation while working all hours of the night and day all over the United States. Now let’s talk about this one…..It’s new, the employees are new, and they have some kinks to work out. I have eaten here twice now, the food is of expected Waffle House quality, but I still think the grill is way to new and needs more of that seasoning that you get after cooking on it for years. The service the first time was perfectly fine. I think I had one of the veteran Waffle House servers, she did a great job. Today, the service was a little off its game. They were just coming out of the lunch rush so I am sure they were wore out, but I always sit at the high bar, and watch the cooks. It appeared to me that they had a few too many going on all at the same time. My City Ham got put on at the same time as my hash browns, but the egg did not get prepared until after my ham had been sitting on a plate for six minutes, and my hash browns had been plated. Toast was cold as well. Overall it’s the Waffle, and it is perfectly fine. The cooks and waitstaff work hard, and generally do a pretty good job. Guess I will have to stop by at 3am and see how it goes next time. That’s when the Awful Waffle is operating...

Stopped by Waffle House here in Greenville not expecting much more than a normal WH experience, but I was pleasantly surprised. Waffle House: greasy, comforting breakfast spot for odd hours eats. It’s still a simple, no-frills diner, but the above-average service and surprising cleanliness. Definitely service was actually better than usual—my server was friendly, attentive, and kept the Pibb coming without having to be asked. What really stood out, though, was how clean this location was. Easily the cleanest Waffle House I've ever been in, from the floors to the counters and even the bathroom. There was a minor disruption due some kids and a airhorn but the staff handled it flawlessly and earned this spot some extra points. We have been to this location a few times with consistent experience so I feel like the review is an accurate description of this location. Will be...

Quite literally the worst waffle House we've ever been to. Literally there was nobody but us that came in to have some food after watching some music and the staff is so lazy that they didn't even want to come over and acknowledge us being there. Hope this place is soon to go out of business. We'll take our business to the McKinney location where the staff is always kind and the food is always on point. Such a shame to see so many lazy people in one place. Sad generation we live in. Not sure if the franchise owner is aware of this issue but literally all four employees literally looked at us and went back to talking as if they didn't want to work or do anything at all. This is a serious issue and is in no way shape or form okay. Happy to discuss this with the franchise owner, because you seriously need new staff.
