This has honestly got to be the best bbq place I've ever had.
As far as service goes, not so much. The host was MIA so we stood at the front for a good 12 minutes before we were noticed. Then when the host finally came, she grabbed menus, did not acknowledge us at all, and then looked as us when we wouldnt follow her like "you guys comin?" If you dont communicate your intentions, no one is gonna know what you want.
Now food.... if you like fried pickles, ORDER THESE FRIED PICKLES. You can barely taste the bitterness in the pickles because of how much batter they put on them. They're crispy, filled with flavor, and DELICIOUSSSSSS.
I had the super spud and I can tell you that it was delicious. It comes with your choice of meat (brisket, hot hot links, sausage, chicken, pulled pork), bacon, cheese, sour cream, butter, and deliciousness. Cant ask for more than that.
My husband had the old fashion bbq sandwhich with bacon added. By just the looks of it, I could tell the meat was juicy, the bacon was cooked to perfection, and the buns were light and fluffy. He took one bite and it was heaven in a bun. I could taste it just looking at his reaction to that first bite.
The BlackBerry cobbler is amazing as well as the brownie sundae they have. I will tell you if you're not a fan of whipped cream, make sure to let the server know before getting the sundae because they load it with whipped cream.
Our server was very shy but aside from that, he was great. I'm from fort worth and we have nothing like this down there. I cried as I drove...
Read moreJust wanted some smoked sausage, instead got some wal-mart brand keilbasa that was microwaved a bit so it was lukewarm. literally not worth your money or effort, I took the sausage and fried it at home to make it edible again. For a BBQ joint, I cant help but notice they don't have a smoker anywhere in the vicinity to actually cook their food. Makes me think everything on their menu is microwaved. Don't bother trying to make amends to change my review, I wouldn't give your food to wild animals, much less my dog. As far as service goes, I ordered well ahead of time to get 1 pound of smoked sausage. I arrived on time and had to wait an extra 10 minutes to receive my order, and literally watched the cooks in the back load my order into the microwave and wait till it was warm enough to serve. The atmosphere seemed decent, it was pleasant enough that if you were a dine in customer with a group to keep you company, you wouldn't notice they don't actually cook the food and load it into a microwave. Yall's only saving grace was the staff, who were incredibly friendly. Thinking about it now, the server who brought out my order after confirming that i wanted the smoked sausage actually asked me if i was sure i wanted the smoked sausage, like they knew it was the worst item on the menu to order. I should've told her to cancel it and get me a refund.
TLDR: don't bother if you want legitimate BBQ, just go to literally anywhere else. It's just...
Read moreWhat a wonderful little place in Greenville, Texas.
I like BBQ. Not really a fan of 'corporate' BBQ. That's sort of against the spirit of BBQ.
This place won me over. And not just with the food.
It was more the feeling of being part of their family.
I spent more than three months in Greenville, Texas for business - April through July 2019.
The crew at the Greenville Rib Crib were AMAZING!
True enough, there was turnover, they lost some good folk because of corporate silliness. That happens.
Luckily, they have held on to wonderful folks like Sarah (spelled correctly), Savannah, Reagan, Shea, Andreas, Kacey.
For me, the food was great, but the feeling of being part of the family was better. Especially for someone that had to be away from actual home.
There aren't any Rib Crib restaurants back home, but if there were, I hope they'd hire staff as good as the crew in Greenville, and that the food would be half as good.
By all means, hit up the Greenville Rib Crib. If they have Jeremiah Tea, try the Tall Grass Tea, or the Peach drink they have. Of course, the Melon Bomb Margarita (midori=green) is pretty good, too.
The BBQ salad with chopped brisket and Blue Cheese is great, the Crib Fire burger is wonderful, and, surprisingly enough, their classic cheeseburger is amazing. Their fried pickles are spicy and tremendous with BBQ ranch.
Again, the food is tremendous, but the...
