On September 22, 2022, my wife purchased a small cushion sofa after witnessing a wonderful display. The salesperson poured coffee on the walnut fabric to illustrate the stain-free properties of the fabric. The in-store presentation sold us immediately on the viability of this product. However, six months into ownership there was a small juice spill on the sofa, and the miracle we witnessed during the in-store presentation appeared to be a one-time event. The spill did not wipe off as previously demonstrated but started to spread and created a bigger spot. We took pictures, returned to the store, and spoke with the salesperson. We were advised to wash the cushions with a fabric softened in warm water, on a delicate cycle and this should remove the stain. Ok, we did as instructed but I didn't recall this stain cleaning procedure during the in-store demo. Our recollection was no staining and this was the primary reason for our purchase. Upon removing the cushions from the wash a new problem manifested itself. The cushions were breaking down and disintegrating from the inside. We returned to the store again and spoke with the manager, expressing our displeasure with this product and feeling like we had been duped. The product was not delivered as represented on the floor and now I believe the whole demonstration was akin to a bait and switch, not on price but on the misrepresentation of the product as advertised. I am convinced the store's floor model had to be sprayed with a stained blocker that was not present on our sofa. We asked the store manager if they could exercise an act of good faith and customer service by simply offering us replacement cushions. The manager stated that this request could not be done at his level and that we needed to contact Kristen Gerber, at Classic Carolina Home. After numerous emails between Kristen and me, I was informed that no replacement cushions would be offered however, we could purchase new ones. This is the ultimate insult, first, we purchased a product that didn't perform as advertised in blocking stain. secondly, the fabric breaks down and disengages upon washing and now their solution to this defective product is for us to purchase more of the same garbage. I will not spend another penny in this store nor will I recommend any family, friends, or enemies to them. If it seems too good to be true, it's true! Caveat emptor
I added these photos of two other sofas in our homes and I am sure you can see that we do not buy trash. I am adding additional comments because your response to my review was personal. You made a statement that we damaged the cushion casing. What factual information can you supply to support that statement? It is a rhetorical question, and I already know the answer, you have no facts. In case you have forgotten, I have the right as the consumer to express my dissatisfaction with this product or any product or service. I paid my hard-earned money for a defective product and I don't need your smart-ass remark posed in the form of an accusation that I damaged this defective cushion. What I expect is a smart business solution on how to make us satisfied consumers. Replacement seat cushions are not an option because I will not spend any more money on a defective product. I read Emily Curiak's review and she cited the same poor craftsmanship with her cushion casing and you blame her for destroying her seat cushions, too! And this is the same charge you made against us, without any facts. What you do have is a history of blaming the consumers for defective or poor craftsmanship from the manufacturer. Millions of products are recalled every year for defective issues and never is the consumer(s) to blame for the recall. STOP blaming the consumer (s) and blame the manufacturer or get another supplier for your product(s). My reviews were not a personal attack on you or CCH, it was my disappointment with...
Read moreThis is the second table we have bought from Classic Carolina Home sight unseen (except for pictures online) and we couldn’t be happier! Both tables are absolutely gorgeous! Classic Carolina was wonderful to work with answering all of the questions I had and helping me pick the “best fit” table for our areas. The set up and delivery were perfect too! They arrived on time both times and were very quick and efficient! We would highly recommend Classic Carolina Home!
Fast forward several months and I regret ever buying anything from this company and will never again! They are very rude and unprofessional. Never once communicated with us anything that was going on with the bench we ordered 5-6 months ago and still don’t have. Delivered a different bench last week that doesn’t match our table but failed to tell us they were doing that. I was told: “Hopefully, this reply is clear as a bell and we never need to speak again.”. I was also told: “to shop somewhere else in the future”. No problem there! I won’t give them another dime. They told me: “ To confirm, spending money with a business does not entitle you to be abusive. You were told the same thing every time: that when your bench arrived, we would deliver it.” There is no track record of me being abusive. I simply followed up every so often about the bench that we have already paid for. Not sure how that is abusive. I would not recommend buying from them. Go to BBB and read alike reviews about them.
Update: it’s so sad that you can’t speak the truth! Again shows your unprofessionalism. I haven’t been banned and I haven’t been abusive either. If calling and asking for the status of something is being abusive then I guess I have been. But with your lack of communication I’ve had no other choice but to call. Saying that I’ve been banned is a bold face lie. But it’s ok. I wouldn’t step foot in your store! Furthermore, I didn’t say my children didn’t have anywhere to sit. Again, speak the truth, if you can. We have 5 family members. We only had 4 chairs delivered. We have a boyfriend of one child and a girlfriend of another. Makes 7 so yes, lack of places to sit would be correct! There is a repeating pattern here with you and the way you handle business or lack there of. Just read the reviews! I have all that I need to show this is on you not me. Not sure how you are still in business. So if someone gives you a bad review due to your behavior, you have the same response. So funny. Can you come up with something different? All I want is the bench that I ordered months ago and was told would be in in June.
I punished you for your good deed by bitterly complaining and carrying on all weekend?!? Seriously, I emailed you on Saturday one time and then responded back to your unprofessional emails. I didn’t carry on all weekend. Furthermore, if you would have communicated with us that you were bringing a bench to use in the meantime, none of this would have taken place. I get home and expected to see the bench we bought because we were told OUR BENCH WAS IN!! So I called to let you know it was the wrong bench. You were rude on the phone about that. I can’t help that you lack in the communication department. I really feel sorry for you and hope that you get some help for your dishonesty and lack of professionalism. PLEASE do us both a favor and deliver our bench ASAP so that we never have to speak again.
UPDATE UPDATE: here it is November and we are still without the bench we ordered! 4.8 because I’m sure you had people leave good reviews! There is nothing honest about...
Read moreI DO NOT recommend. See update at the bottom. Worst customer service. Asked for a quote on 6 chairs, they give me the link to their website. I tell them I've seen the website, can you give me a quote for the 6 chairs with delivery. They say 6 x $299 plus delivery. I asked why is it so hard to get a quote from you guys? As a customer I shouldn't have to do my own quote. Most furniture places will even try to sell you an extra warranty, but, no, I can't even get the full quote. I told them, we can't come to the showroom due to Covid so they'd be a little more helpful, but no. In their message to me they finally lay it out about the delivery fee, delivery is TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS for a 6 mile drive and 6 chairs. Then they say they need additional information and if you're located in SC that state tax would apply. They ended by asking where I lived (after I already told them), so, I respond and my message wouldn't send. So, I check on FB and they blocked me after asking where I lived! All I needed was quote, and they didn't want to bother doing the work. They did as little as possible and got an attitude when I expected a little more effort on their part. It's like pulling teeth to get a proper quote. Rude, just really, really rude. I won't ever shop here. Ever. By the way I NEVER did get the quote. Way to go, you guys just lost over TWO GRAND or is it a little more, I don't know, not my job to do your math. Facebook customers are REAL customers, never treat them like they're a waste of your time. PS I sent you guys a photo of my farm style table, like the one you had in your ad, the one that matches the chairs, I am a real customer, needing real assistance and you failed. Hope you treat all inquiries in future like REAL customers in the future. As far as I'm concerned, I wouldn't even give you one star.
UPDATE: I am a REAL customer. And, the fact that you have threatened to slander my online reputation, my family's business and stalked my FB page in order to threaten me if I don't remove my review shows how unprofessional you are. I will keeping a copy of everything you said, and I'll be forwarding that to my attorney. I will not remove my review. It is factual and honest. And if you slander me or my family in any way, I will sue you for tortious slander and libel with...
