Park Headquarters — Attraction in Gulf Shores

Went in to check availability...... To my surprise there was at least 10 or 12 open sites available......I was told that none of these site were available as they were paid for even though the site were not being used ..Apparently people book these site , pay for the site and still do not show up .....We returned a few days later and these sites were still open . As far as I can see, these obvious wealthy individuals have no problem paying for these site in Anticipation that they may or may not show up ... As far as I am concerned if you do not show up withing 24hrs of said booking you Forfeit the site ....regardless This is a Pure example of Abuse of a the system...... I was told point blank by employess that this was practiced all the time .......again a FEW!! Ruin it for the many. Shame on management to allow this to continue and not have a policy in place. This is a beautiful park and should have limited stays to allow others to enjoy this beautiful...

This is the best park in Alabama hands down. The fishing pier is amazing both for sightseeing and fishing. The bicycle trails are the best I have ever seen, newly paved wooden plank walkways elevate you to a cat's eye position over some of the most beautiful plant and animal life in the United States. The campground is immaculate and the Nature Center is a must see if you have children. The Saltwater Pavilion is surreal, the cathedral roof provides visitors with with a spectacular view of the Gulf of Mexico while protecting sensitive skin and eyes from the midday sun and Lakeside Cabins are hidden away from the hustle and bustle of downtowns many attractions while still conveniently located within walking or biking distance...

Warning to ALL veterans. Last year, the parks switched to a pass that does not expire. After trading in my vehicle, I didn't give a thought to keeping the old destroyed sticker after removing it. After all, I've always had to go to the office every year for a new one. So if you try to get a new sticker, you will be told that without the old sticker, there is nothing they can do!!!!! Get that? One oversight and you will NEVER get another sticker. Very disappointed in...
