Boot Barn — Attraction in Gurnee

Went into this new store today looking for boots for my wife. As I was waiting for her I seen they had belts, I grabbed one off the shelf and went to pay for it. It rang up as $45, on the tag it said $44, not a big deal. When I questioned the price the cashier’s response was “well ya that’s with tax”. I said no it has in the tag $44 and it rang up $45. She said, “ok well there is nothing I can do until my manager gets back and she just stepped out”. As she shrugs her shoulders at me, she then acts like I am not even there anymore and says she will take the next customer. I told my wife there is no way I am buying anything here and walked out. Terrible customer service, that should never be your answer “there’s nothing I can do”. Sad cause we don’t live to far and would have loved to shop...

Great place organised the way you get used to find it organised in all the places around USA. The manageress was simply amazing, very nice and friendly and helped me place another order for a pair of Corral boots I came to pick up but were too small due to being mis-represented on their site. Their boots are simply gorgeous and you do not know where to look first. Unfortunately the fashion section at all Boot Barn shops is off par with European fashion and you find items in UK for example could be found some 20 years ago, and even then only people with no fashion style would wear: no wonder you see even bank staff at the weekend dressed so 'silly' no one in Europe would dare dress. The website won't let me review the specific product, so I'll post here. I bought the Justin Smooth Ostrich Roper, first pair had an issue with the insole, the online return went fine, and the second pair was fine for a week, now they make an annoying squeaking noise when I walk. I've narrowed it down to the insole, must be poor craftsmanship in that area of the boot. Hopefully a shoe repair shop can fix them, but add the cost to the purchase price, plus the hassle, and they're no longer a value.
