Me and my daughter went to bww at the gutnee mills store, we usually go to portillos for food after we get ou six flags, but this time she wanted wings, so I said what a better place for wings than BWW, so we drove there, whe got there and the host told us 15 minute wait. I usually visit the Northbrook location and I always have a great experience, but since we were there we sat for 20 mins and waited until the host took us to our booth table. I don't really care about this little things, but since the experience was horrible I have to give you details. First of all the table at the booth was so uneven, every time me or my daughter (we were facing each other) lean on the table the table wriggled so bad that I almost spill my daughter's drink. However I didn't really cared about that, we were there for wings. We waited for around 5 minutes and our waitress came to greet us, we were ready to order and she took our food and drink order which was 6 traditional jamming jalapeño wings, 6 traditional hot BBQ wings and small side of fries. For our drinks I ordered a tall blue moon and my daughter just ordered water. The waitress left, some one elses.brought our drinks around 5 minutes later,and we waited for our food. We got to the restaurant at 8:02 PM, got seated at 8 :20 PM and our order was taken around 8:25 PM. We waited for 30 minutes and our waitress never stopped by to see how we were doing, at some point she passed by and I kindly asked her if she had any idea of how long more our food would be bring to us, for what she replied that it would be done in a very short period of time, so we waited and waited and waited, at this point I was just very unpleasant and disappointed, my daughter was hungry and she wanted to leave and go somewhere else, so around 9:25 PM, a whole hour after we got our order taken, I asked the waitress for the check and to cancel our order, I mean I get it they were busy, but seriously waiting for a whole hour for 12 wings and a side of fries?? That is ridiculous!! The server told me that she was going to bring her manage, she came and she apologized and she charged me for the beer. And we left and the food never came. As I said before I always go to the Northbrook store and the service is always smooth, friendly and very efficient. This location needs to take some tips from the Northbrook store. I love BWW and I will keep going to the Northbrook store, but this one in Gurnee, never again. They ruined my daughter experience of eating wings, she's only 12 and she never ask for an especially food, but this time she did and you guys...
Read moreIf you're looking for prompt, friendly service and food you're happy to pay for, Buffalo wild wings in Gurnee, is not it. I've never been to an establishment where the employees really don't seem to want any business. To start, we waited about 5 minutes to be seated- there was almost nobody in there and several employees, all of whom looked right at us but never said hi or asked us if we wanted to be seated or what. It a few more people showed up behind us, still not sparking any reaction from staff. Finally I asked a person if they're open for business(it was 2:30pm). That seemed to prompt an interaction and we were seated. Our server started off friendly, introducing himself and a trainee. He asked us if we wanted drinks, appetizers, etc. I ordered wings, my daughter ordered tenders. So my wings come out and he says" here are the wings for now". No explanation on the missing tenders, so I'm assuming they're coming up soon. But time ticks by, no tenders, no explanation. Not even an apology or ETA on the wings. The trainee drops off utensils. Next comes the server, asking if everything's ok.... like no?? We're still waiting on a meal?? To which he shrugs his shoulders and tells me they're just not done yet, as if I'm being unreasonable, or pushy. Still no apology or reason. Tells me 5-6 minutes, only after I ask how long. 5 minutes later still nothing and at this point he's totally just avoiding us. Our drinks are empty, no refills. The trainee comes and asks what's wrong. She then tells me they forgot about the tenders, so sorry. She was really nice and REALLY trying, so not her fault. But more time passes I finally asked another employee for the manager. So out comes the manager, super nice, apologetic, tells me a new guy dropped the tenders so they're making more now. 20 minutes. But they're going to be free and I'll get a coupon. When he leaves I eventually get the tenders but now my server has a major attitude, the tenders look burnt but by now I'm over all of it. He immediately brought the check, no offer for drinks or dessert. The only time he was quick was when I pulled out the credit card and then I saw the bill was wrong so he quickly fixed it and then lingered while I paid online. I'll never eat there again. They've given BDub a bad name. I guess they're not worried...

We in as a group of 6 and was told there was a ten minute wait in a mostly-empty restaurant, but was fine with that as I assumed a server was prepping the section. After 15 minutes I asked the host if we could just be seated in two separate tables so we wouldn’t have to continue to wait, and the hostess bluntly said “well you’d still have to wait anyways for that.” I replied “oh okay, even though there are empty tables?”, and she said “yeah.” - I was a little confused by the response but continued to wait another 3-5 minutes until the hostess came back to seat us at our table. Our actual server was great and attentive (thank you Morgan), but what caused my party and myself to be uncomfortable was that I said the hostess take a photo with the flash on right at our table, and then hid behind the hostess stand. Confused and uncomfortable, I continued to look over in that direction to see if she was actually hiding or if it was just my imagination, but this hostess literally peeped out from behind the stand, saw I was looking at her, and popped back behind 3 more times. At this point my group and I felt extremely uncomfortable and a little irritated, and although our server took great care of us, the hostess continued to stare at us during our stay and even gathered with a couple other employees and were chatting/laughing and continued to look in our direction. This situation not only was unwarranted and rude, but extremely unprofessional especially in an environment where other guests are waiting on their servers just to see them gathered around not working. It felt like we were being watched by hawks our entire time eating. The food was as expected of BDubs, the bathrooms were dirty, hostess and other employees associated with her were rude, but again our server was great. Very disappointed in this location.
