"DISLIKE" Horrible customer service! DO NOT recommend ever shopping at Royal Furniture, EVER! Although beautiful furniture, there is no customer care from the owner or the staff if you don't actually receive the "color" furniture paid for in advance. UNFORTUNATELY, discovered on the delivery day, (immediately rejecting the GRAY, not Umber Sectional and sent it back). The response from the owner was so unexpected and disappointing that as a business owner would not honor their integrity and consumer trust by providing a refund for delivery of a Gray Sectional and huge inconvenience caused when they sold and promised that the color Umber is beige/brown and honor a refund. The extreme costs charged by the store to reject the wrong Sectional, once it was delivered and you are made aware of the real color. The resistance from Royal Furn. to return their mistake was a nightmare and stressful experience after delivery, when you can see the color issues "Umber" really is, which is highly misrepresented from Royal Furniture and Ashley Furniture by only providing a photo or online view which is extremely tilted toward an earthly tone, but arrives in your home as actually very very Gray/Silverish, NOTHING near a beige/brown employees promise you. "Umber" was represented as a "beige/brown" to my family, but arrived NOTHING NEAR the beige/ or brown the photos ASHLEY Furn. and ROYAL Furn. employees show you in their stores. Employees reassurance by providing viewing online samples by both Ashley Furn. and their Distributor Royal Furniture., which appears beige/brown was false. I looked at so many furniture stores, the room place, Ashley’s, Bobs Discount, Big Lots, and Value City to name a few. Because of Covid, they all estimated at least 3 months for delivery, after reading reviews, a lot of customers were still waiting for furniture up to a 8 months or longer, needless to say, they were not happy. I went to Royal Furniture, in Gurnee, they were very friendly, asked if I needed help, I showed them the picture of what I wanted, they looked it up, called their warehouse in Waukegan, said it was in stock there. Set up for delivery for Monday (ordered it Saturday), paid and left, on my way home, my phone rang, Royal Furniture employee said they would be in my area later that day, would I like it delivered the same day?
