I went here today for the first time just for a regular manicure and pedicure. I am extremely disappointed. The technician buffed my skin instead of actually hitting my nails to shape. I had to ask her to redo one of my toenails as it was very obvious that the polish was not painted on evenly and appeared lumpy and not smoothed out. When she redid it she blamed it on my nail “splitting.” I told her well my toenails have never been cut this short. She continued to blame that on the polish “not catching.” As she walked away to now go do my manicure I had to remind her to please put on the clear top coat. For my manicure, again she used the cuticle tool to cut my nails unevenly and filed my skin completely missing my actual nail. The skin around my nails look beat up and have cuts around them. Then she told me I only needed a “few moments” at the dryer. I understand it was 4:15 with a close time of 5 and I assume staff wanted to leave early, but I did not appreciate feeling rushed to leave. She then told me my feet were fine and ready to put my socks/ sneakers back on. She assisted with that and as expected they were not completely dry. Easy to say, I will...
Read moreSaddest massage I’ve ever experienced. I left with the same sore muscles I came in with and begged my boyfriend to rub my shoulders when I got home. My masseuse, Dolly, had inconsistent, superficial moves. To me, she moved about my body like an amateur. She had long boney fingers that had no strength to them and moved about my body with soft light movements. It was relaxing to have nice oils rubbed into your skin but there was no release of muscle tension anywhere. She kept asking me if the pressure was good but it’s not really the place to say, I think I need a different masseuse. Heck, I know I could offer a better massage than this woman did. I just slept quietly until it was over.
I still tipped her 20% because we all want to be compensated for our work. Essentially, I paid a for an expensive nap with a dash of gimmicky massage.
Save your money and go...
Read moreI went here for the 50minute Signature Massage and it was excellent. Pat knows what she's doing! It's a full 50 minutes and if you arrive a bit early, you can enjoy the sauna or steam room/showers. There are also high quality lotions in the changing area and cucumber infused water. The ambience is very relaxing.
I am a hospital employee and the form they have you fill out, asks. When I went to pay the price didn't sound right. So I asked if it included the discount. It did not. Probably an honest mistake. But why ask that information if it isn't being honored unless the customer asks? This is the only reason I'm taking away a star.
Otherwise, it is not the fanciest spa I've been to, but I would definitely recommend and go back for a straight forward...
